I thought it was funny at the start of the video, you kept letting off the clutch and the truck was not moving, then you gave it some gas and it was moving. Nice truck, thanks for sharing this video.
This is awesome, all stock, gauges work and of course love that transmission whine in first and second which was normal (my '49 Pontiac I had ages ago did that) Love the red color !! The only real thing I didn't like about these were the terrible rear axle ratio which meant the engine was screaming at 50-55 mph. The aftermarket does have a 3.55 to 1 ring and pinion gear which fits the stock rear end.
... I had one for around 15 years, in So. Calif. ... ... I always regretted selling it ... Although, I sold it to a retired motor pool Sgt... Who knew how to dial it in, and take care of it ... ... These days, I'm on my third Studebaker sedan ... ... And although I have a classic Jeep Comanche, I've got my eyes open, and searching for another early fifties Chevy truck to enjoy ... Regards ...
