To be fair to him, he's changed. The past is the past, he's not doing anything illegal, so it shouldn't be a concern. Ethics are at question, definitely, but if 100 people were put in the same situation as him, you'd do the same.

I've never visited his shop or even been to Wakefield, nor do I have any desire to buy prime, but I'm struggling to see which part of this is a 'scam'? He's selling a product - which is a luxury, not a necessity - to people willing to buy it for that price. He's not pulling a bait and switch or selling a knock-off marketed as the real thing. The bottles AKAIK aren't price marked so the price is at the merchants discretion. If people choose to buy it at that price then fair play to him. No one is forcing them to buy it from him, nor do they NEED to buy it at all. I don't think it's unethical for him to choose what he charges, especially as it's not a necessity item that people have no choice to buy. Personally, I would never pay anywhere near that kind of money for the drink, but if some people do, then his business model works
He's acquiring it in bulk through methods that aren't available to the general public and selling it for a massive markup, it's scumbag behaviour and scalping is a massive issue in this day/age.
The reason it's scummy is where do you draw the line? If everyone starts scalping and buying in bulk necessities such as food or clothing the world suddenly becomes a place in which only the rich can afford to survive. No one needs Prime but no one needs scalpers profiting off hype.

Do you know what the big drinks companies do/used to do in the UK to prevent overcharging? They stick a "recommended" price on their packaging. What's the shopkeeper gonna do, argue with the price _on_ the thing being bought?
It doesn't prevent overcharging, just hinders it. People can still sell it higher but its ultimately down to the buyer whether they buy it at that high price. It's like when you sell something privately, you are going to try to get the most out of the thing you are selling. You aren't going to sell it under its "recommend price" unless you are a saint.
End of the day the buyer is the person who agrees with the price and its them who will influence whether the price goes down, stays the same or go up.

I personally have no problem with this guy selling prime. Its actually nice to see/hear someone got out of jail after doing there time for selling drugs and didn’t actually resort back to drugs. Me personally I find it interesting what he is doing from a business standpoint. I myself sell Prime Hydration in my ebay store and have sold to customers in more then 25 countries. Sure his price might be a little crazy but at the end of the day it’s supply and demand. No one is forcing you to buy his products which if you don’t like his price then you can absolutely shop elsewhere. 4:29
