I think when you said her voice was "settling" I thought you were spot on. There is something comforting about it, for sure. This song has always been one of my favorites. The "Miles of Aisles" live album version is even better (hard to imagine). That whole album is SPECTACULAR! Thank you for so carefully selecting what you react to. Makes it special. I think Joni is one of the best songwriters of the 20th century.
