I'd never thought I'd be invested on the Cobra Officer, a simple repaint i thought, but i am happy to be wrong cause man this figure is packed with detail and arsenal, I'm sold for an entire wave once in my life really.

Very in-depth and informative review! Man, this figure looks really good! Glad Hasbro decided to really make him unique to differentiate him from the basic Trooper/Infantry figure.
The character kneeling in front of the Arashikage symbol is the Hard Master. The reason why I think this is because there's already a Hard Master portrait tooled up and I seriously doubt that Lenny'em would have went through the expense just to tool up a Hard Master portrait just for a Zartan deluxe set. The COBRA Officer has always had a triangle on his helmet to denote rank.
Just opened mine to lead a small squad of Target troopers. Very impressed with him. Still prefer the aforementioned troopers and feels this overcorrects by looking too much more like the old cartoon, but he looks good leading a squad of the grunts.
Great review and what an awesome figure. Looks like I have found my first G.I. Joe figure. I was an Action Force fan as a kid (a brit) and never knew Joe. Got back into collecting action figures a few years ago and these figures really appeal to me as an Action Force fan. This one is going to be my first.
Actually if you put the troopers over your thumb facing out with your index and middle finger on either shoulder and squeeze you get the same ab crunch or full use of it by doing that.
I ordered 10 of these, but I am probably not going to get them until July. Only 1 needs to actively lead my Cobra Troopers/Infantry; in the lore, Cobra Officers hold an administrative position in the Cobra ranks, they're good for the Cobra Organization's bureaucracy. ;)
I take it most wasn't paying attention when they announced the Cobra officer. It didn't look like a simple repaint. people are still excited about it because it's GI Joe. It's not a completely new character even though there's new tooling. So you wouldn't feel a lot of hype about it. Another solid figure to throw on the shelf and forget about in a few months.
Think that has to be the Hard Master. Funny if get that. Just to have Zartan kill him. On my get list. I wasn't gonna get in to this line and now I have 8 figures and growing. The V is for Rank. Wonder if will see a Scarface figure now.

This guy is the perfect enemy for any Gi Joe and Marvel Legends figure and a lot of fun to pose.
One of my favorite sculpt so far. No crazy neon colors, just cool blue Cobra.
I loved the first trooper, i liked the Cobra Infantry a little more, and I like this one even more. Hasbro has done an awesome job with these figures.

I think his colors are closer to the original cartoon as well, in comparison to Trooper & Infantry.
What makes the cobra officer stand out is the realistic weapon. Can't wait to have mine now which I recently ordered online.

They had 3 of these at Target. My only regret is buying just one instead of all three..
I'd switch out those cheap weapons for grid iron studios weapons .will look alot better

The hand gun looks like a broom handle mauser, the rifle looks like an AK 47, and the SMG looks like a bull nosed AK-47 with out a stock.
The SMG is basically a KP-9 pistol (not technically an AK but still a Kalashnikov) but with the magazine on the side for some reason.

It could be a unmask Snake Eyes the real one but it more likely one of the Masters hard or blind master he seems tall I would say blind master
