This is a very basic tutorial on how to create your own pc game trainers using cheat engine. You will need to have some very basic CE skill in order to do this. You can find a basic tutorial at the URL above. I hope you guys have fun creating trainers for you favorite games. - Hry

Many thanks! Using your guide I was able to create a trainer for _The Seventh Gate_ puzzle game to add jewels. There are a couple boards toward the end that are VERY difficult and jewels that are used in a failed attempt are then lost for a replay of jewel board. Needless to say, it is darned frustrating to lose the board AND a whole bunch of jewels to retry all over again.... lol

Great tutorial! My problem always was that my trainers worked until I restarted the scan, good thing I know there are things as pointers now :D

you can also group the pointers and name the group and it will change all just so you know just select all and right click and it should say group selection or something
one pointer scan, is never enough to grab many static values.
every pointer level can be 1 up 16 or higher, depends on your syspower(cpus,gigs).
if you make sure you found some right pointers, you should test them on different pc's.
every game updates/patches could affecting static pointers, making them totally useless.

I scanned my game for health, I found the right value, I verified it and it modified my health (froze it, was immortal etc), so it had to be it no? then I right-click, pointer scan, and it turns up empty...

I don't understand how cheat engine could have helped you with that. Finding the local where is stored the health and using it to display via other software?
@@maluco132 I used cheat engine’s lua script and it’s trainer to create health bars to visually display health.

Pointers are not functions my dude. They're variables who's value is a memory address. In this case, there is probably a large scope variable that points to the memory address of the variable that holds the money value, and there are 500,000 functions referencing that variable

no cheat engine wouldnt work for those online games as your data are stored on the server.
For example, the information for the amount of money you have in the game are stored on the game server. You cannot manipulate that value on the client side.

I was searching for the actual trainer file extension, the CETRAINER, just to learn lol, anyways I gess I learnt to find pointers with pointer scan... I normally use the tutorial method, and it works everytime, at least the times I tested it it worked, I was haking watch dogs skill points, restarted the game and the pointer worked

That's called a hotkey, if you go to hotkeys you will be able to do that. No trainer needed.
can l ask you a question ? how do you find the infinite or unlimited projectile in fighting game and the game need special command to input for emitting the projectile from a character for example street fighter. l mean l want to you a question that the projectile only allow to appear once per time and how can l search the value in cheat engine and freeze the value to certain number to make unlimited time of emitting the projectile, but not just one per time. it can allow 2, or ,more projectile emitting. please help me, thanks.
In order for creating hacks like that you would need to analyze what exactly changes in the memory when you do a certain action. That is above what I know how to do.

Some games if you change the screen coins it will change... it does not change or is not the real money, ya have to dig deeper as the money is not in a simple format... will not get in to this... Easy games normal to find the say coins in about 4 or 5 scans.
in those cases you need to use 'what writes this address' function or check for simple encryptions like *8 *100 ect. Also scanning with unknown initial value can work.

A good tutorial, but I'm trying to make a table for a java-based game and whenever I make my second scan, i end up with zero results... Not sure if this is a programming thing, or I just suck
You probably just suck, either it's a multiplayer game, or you are scanning for the wrong thing. Also there are display values the one on your screen and actual values. Try searching for float values, ex you have 862 health and you are searching that value in 4 bytes ofc then it wont find anything because the actual value is ex 862.763684.

can we pretend that I have actually learned to use this program before trying something like this? I've been using it for years and can track down a simple value. Even a non-simple value that is different from it's display value. What I can't seem to do is get this to work in a java-based game that seems to re-randomise it's code while I'm using it (frozen values stop being frozen after certain events)
Natty Tempest it surely has a pattern, try tracking down the code and see how it changes.
I'm trying... but I might move on to a game that is a bit more stable... I have been able to track some values on EDF effectively and they are even consistent between levels! Might just be this one game that messes with me...

Saini14 TV it should work as the changes in the (correct pointers) will always be equivalent in someone else's computer. However, that is only the case if they have the exact same version of the game as you do.
In big games you have at least 6k pointers which is impossible to test them all, it must be an other way!

You cant hack online games with CT, unless the devs were retarded. The values for online games are stored on servers which means you cant change them without hacking into those specific servers. It may LOOK like it was changed, but thats only displayed for you and for everyone else your value is normal.

You actually can hack online games with CT otherwise I wouldnt be able to use cheattables in this game. Many games use client sided variables like xy position of your character etc. I know how the mp hack would work but I didnt need it anymore it was just for testing reasons.

+highbaws 3 tips: 1. take more pointers or scan with higher pointer level. 2. restart the game, try again. 3. start the game, do some stuff ingame and then loadup your table.

if u host a lobby on gta 5 its hosted on your computer so the values are stored in your pc thus changeable
wrong. the trainers that alter server-side information just have to trick servers into thinking you have it using some kind of script. usually you need to make a bypass that tricks the anti-cheat that usually comes with online games into thinking you're not cheating, as well.

What is the simplest way
Mastered just download a trainer/cheat table for that game/app on the cheat engine forum, and if there isn't one for your game then request it and someone should make it in a few days max 2 weeks. Cheat engine wise yes this is the simplest way to make a trainer I made a cheat table using the method shown in the video with multiple changeable values in under 2 hours. I am not a pro so there might be some easier faster way but once you make the trainer for the game/app you are good to go for all of eternity :) hopefully I helped

The easiest way to get a trainer is to go the the actual cheat engine site and hit cheat tables lol

For static addresses, this whole tutorial is a waste of time. Because once you find the address there is no need for a pointer.
