I was the first four. Did the countdown from 2 years, I was someone who got as many benefits as I could, got many job offers from Boeing, and other government contractors for being an AE, as well as a mommas boy. Moved back home for about a year and now I live in an apartment and in the process of looking at buying a house
@@stevenmajicmikeif you like it, go for it. I got out because I was tired of the toxic leadership and just all around being micromanaged for every little thing.

Can’t believe I’ve been watching your channel this long, I remember talking to you on discord with my buddy when we were in A school together back in 2018 lol Also almost done with my 5 year contract 🤙🏻
JT the OG...good to see you back 100% Accurate I saw Countdown Kings with 3 years to go... Only to become The Family Man with 30 days to go... Your lady/kids are NOT giving up Tri-Care & steady paycheck so you can move back to Ft. Smith, AR... She liks So Cal or Jax... She's not going on deployments.... Just say "I do" and accept you have 16 more years to go
@@jtmnavy I intend on doing so, a big goal for me if I do go back is to A take care of my former ship kids, B do proper electrical saftey, and C hold the chiefs mess accountable
Mama’s boy, here. Had no ties, dependents, debt, and had a terminal leave balance. Stayed with my folks for a year, and continued attending college. Another type is the “no plan Stan”. Gets out, has no idea what to do next, doesn’t have supportive family, just goes from job to job, and never takes advantage of their GI Bill.
Sup JT, I am actually getting out of the navy here pretty soon. And this video came at a very funny time in my transition lmao. I’ve definitely been the countdown king for a lil bit now u MOFO 😂😝 hope all is well man. Thanks for being one of the many inspirations for getting me to join this crazy world of naval tomfoolery
I was a highly technical dude on the submarine, but wasn't a nuke. I was definitely the countdown king and Benny guru before getting out. I have to go do something school related now (using that GI Bill benny) else I'd just chill today 😅
Be careful for all the benny gurus out there, they may lower your percentage rate if you go and "bust balls a lot" meaning you get rejected for something you claim multiple times. Yall may wanna read closely the instructions they offer on the VA benefits page. Other than that, thank God for another easy day at home!
I didn't want to get out. I got shafted on orders. It was either re enlist and stay on my ship or get out. I was sick of ship life. Couldn't do another enlistment back to back on a ship.
Awesome to see you are an Angels fun as well. Think I'm the Sixth type or so, there was those 5 types back in my day as well with maybe 2 other types that weren't mentioned in today's video. Believe I'm at least one of the those two like to run them by you. Would like to know if them types are still around. Which reminds me that there's a third and possibly worth other type i'm pretty sure those are still around. LOL Have a great navy day shipmates! Whether you're still in of you out you're a sailor for life.
From all you know now... both from the inside of the Navy, and 'real' life outside... would you now tell your younger self (18 years old, or when you signed up) to make the Navy your life... to stay and not leave until you were 40 or something, and THEN start a life ourside?
I joined later in life, and on my second contract right now. I would say like anything in life, it's a cost-benefit analysis. I intended on getting out after the first contract, but trying to knock out more college before I get out and help my wife get her degree as well. I've noticed that from my experience the people who want out the most sometimes regret it and the people most gung-ho about staying in get out and live well in the civilian world. You never know what your mindset and the worlds situation will be in years time. Idk what prompted your question, but try and keep as many doors open as possible and continue improving yourself (Not just your job) and you will do wel.
drop a like hope y’all enjoy the vid see u soon !!!

The only benny I was concerned with when getting out was my GI Bill and I became the Benny Guru on that because TGPS (TAPS) didn't tell me shit!
