An elite physique isn't complete without a great chest and strong shoulders. You can't press very well without powerful pectorals, and you'll look flat from the front and side if you neglect your chest training. This workout will help you build strength, size, symmetry, and great shape across your upper body.
Although this is technically your second shoulder workout of the week, don't let it deter you from working hard. Training frequency is one of the biggest tools we have for developing a muscle group. In fact, Erin has tremendous shoulders precisely because she trains them frequently.
This is the last resistance workout that you'll be doing this week, so hit it hard and perform each set and rep with excellence!

She has to really work because she is conditioned and has every muscle developed and to get that level it a lot hard work over years. I look like slender man if loose lot fat

I’ve followed her workouts and my body has changed dramatically! It’s hard work but the end results are quite satisfying.
This is good to see.Alot of women hardly train chest these days, especially bench presses, the lost art of weight training.I trained at Bally Total Fitness and out of all the women, there were only 2 of them bench pressed.They were both competitors and they could do over 200+ lbs.The other women never go near the benches or do cable crossovers.
Awesome breakdown of this workout from two people I have a lot of admiration for Erin Stern and Jacob Wilson. Jacob has done so much research for the athletic community. Erin has always been a great example of great training and performance. Thank you for posting.

Erin has a beautiful physique. Proper execution of movement and form are on display in this demonstration. Unlike the many self-styled "experts" on youtube who don't have a clue. Well done! Keep up the high-level work.
Very nice video...most of these exercises aren't really on my radar screen as I tend to just work bench, squat (front, back and overhead), deadlift and cleans and snatches (and of course Bicep curls...haha) but it looks like a fun derivation that I might try just for a change. Regarding warm ups I completely agree with a thorough warmup. If I might list mine, which I stole from a cross fit warmup I was shown way back in the day before cross fit had gained much notoriety. 3 sets as follows: 1.) static lunge on the floor with one knee forward, interlock fingers and reverse stretch over you head...this is a great static shoulder and back/torso/hips/hams stretch, hold for 10 seconds 2.) 10 air squats...I like to do mine with a small pvc pipe in the overhead position, or if no pipe is available I also like to do arms forward with palms fully up like a football defensive back's posture or just arms/hands overhead. 3.) 10 pushups touching chest to the floor with full lock out...I have modified this to include the "Star" tricep pushup for the first set, standard pushup for the 2nd set and wide positioning pushup for the 3rd set. 4.) This exercise is hard to describe and I have never seen anyone else ever do it (except in WWII German youth exercise film clips I found here on CZcams). Stand with feet slightly wider then shoulder width apart, raise hands as high as you can over head, slowly reach out and down (just flowing the normal arc) with the finishing move touching your fingers to the ground as you "sweep" your hands between your legs. Start slow to get the move down and to insure your legs stay very close to locked out. Once you become motorized for this move it should be done very quickly with a rapid sweep of the hands through the legs followed by an immediate return to overhead with your arms/ hands going past your head as the momentum will cause your hips go forward. The exercise should follow the arc the entire time...at first you may either fall forward or not be able to touch the ground but just go slow until you become motorized. When done correctly, this is a tremendous dynamic stretch of the shoulders, upper back, lower back, hips, hams and claves. Do 10 reps 5.) Ab Work...when this routine was originally shown it was just 10 standard sit ups but I have modified to it to be 3 sets of different mat or hanging bar work ab routines at 15 reps each...I won't try to describe them as they are quite varied and involve leg lift regimens we did in The Corps and stuff we used to do in H.S. Football practice and various other ab exercises I have picked up over the years...just make sure the ones you pick out are hard and involve your lower body raising towards your abs and/or your upper body lowering towards your abs. As I said in the intro, do 3 sets and in as fast as succession as you can go. At the end you should feel like you've just been through a pretty damn good exercise regimen, but just relax drink some water and give yourself a few minutes to get reacclimated and then go with whatever workout you have planned. If you can't get thru the "warmup" just lower the sets down to two or even one and move up when you can.

Hey !!!. I have been doing 12 sets of reps for Chest and Shoulders. But I also use pec fly and rear delt apart from bench with dumbells. But it is totally my own opinion that you need to do warm up for shoulder work out as they are prone to injury. I never do warm up for any of my reps. I know fitness experts would vouch for warm up. But I believe it is not required provided if you do your sets with nice and smooth movement avoiding erratic movements.

When doing pushups dont flare out your arms, especially after a shoulder workout, you will hurt your shoulder that way, specifically rotator cuff.

Pretty solid plan here and she's obviously in great shape and strong! The truth is most any workout program will 'work' if you put the effort into it. The key is to switch things up a little every several weeks to keep shocking the muscles.
I agree so much about your opinion on looking in the mirror. I choose not to either then I noticed more my mind to muscle is much more focused.

I appreciate his explanation of the workout. I do not like the camera switching to him. I find myself fast forwarding back to the workout. The focus should be entirely on her to be able to view her form. Quite annoying

Erin! I really admire you. Love your explanations and arguments, always easy to understand. I'm going to follow your routines on bodybuilding app, but I have a question... I had a knee surgery 1 months and 15 days ago, its was a mosaicplasty (also known as osteochondral cylinder transplantation, so, its going to be a bit difficult to do some legs exercises. Do you have any advice for me, in order to burn fat and gain lean muscle even on this moment? My doctor told me to do some cycling (10 min /day) and elliptical machine, 10min/day. So... congrats for all your achivements, and hope to hear about you soon!! Thank you!

that´s so cool, I do bike and jump rope at home too :-)) but I heard elsewhere that standing exercises are best because the bench in your back will restrict the movement when you`re lifting.
