Adams hilarious, “This is going to be a quick build nothing crazy just a quick job”. Now: down to changing every bushing on the car 🤣 It’s never a quick build when you want to do it right. Great content.
Best way I've found to seat new studs without a press is to just use a couple nuts or socket or something that barley fits over the stud kinda like a spacer and then tighten a lug nut down against the spacer to pull the stud in.
@@sictoday I would say that if a stud would stretch while you are installing it using this method then it isn't a stud I would trust. sounds like you have bought some chinesium studs mate
Jajaja tu español es muy bueno, se entiende! Miro esté canal desde hace 4 años, cuando construiste tu primer 2JZ, no hablo inglés, pero siempre amé ver cómo construyen los motores y los autos! Un saludo desde Argentina! Hahaha your Spanish is very good, it is understood! I watch this channel for 4 years, when you built your first 2JZ, I don't speak English, but I always loved to see how they build the engines and the cars! Greetings from Argentina!

I personally think it’s a great idea to re-do the suspension on all of ur cars every now nd then, cause you never know what might be loose or rusty nd old on any of the cars, loving the more shop focused content nd can’t wait to see you rip all these cars round the compound after all the time nd dedication 😂💯🔥
i’d suggest throwing the bushings in the freezer for a few hours, it really helps, also, put a 2x4 over it instead of the shim, helps spread the force more evenly
Hi dudes, I'll be showing my Prelude at the FD Long Beach car show on Saturday.. I'm really excited for the event and I hope to get to meet some of you guys out there too!
Shop press is best I just did mine takes about a minute to do each pretty easy ik most don’t have a shop press but a harbor freight ones is affordable and works
Love the videos bro.....I still remember when you bought the 180sx and did the doughnuts in the parking lot 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Love all the way from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹 ❤💯🔥
Great video. So much better with other interaction. Since LZ compound the environment has seemed sterile. Having others in background and joining in made takes it to another level.
i just want a live stream up of the shop 24/7 so we can tune in anytime and see the hilarious shenanigans uncensored and edited like those reality tv shows
Ran into a similar problem installing polly bushes on my MX-5 / Miata. I used a bushing removal tool to pull it in from both sides, but you can make do with a peice of threaded rod some, somem nuts, washers, and large sockets. On bushes with two halfs, sometimes its eaier to but both halfs in with the metal sleeve barley in one half, then use a large clamp and a wooden shim to squeze it in all the way. PLENTY OF LUBE!!!
Drivetrains are usually offset to account for torque loading. When power is applied everything will shift in the opposite direction to rotation so by offsetting the diff everything will pull into line under power
I run the gktech poly bushings in my siliva. Love them, way quieter than the aluminum ones I did have. I did have to use a press to get them in, wasn't able to just "tap" them in.
For the hub bolts, easy trick: Grab one of the lugnuts and a few washers, like 5. put the lug bolt in the hub hole like normal, stack the washers over the threads and then screw on the lug nut on. grab an impact or breaker bar and continue screwing on lugnut until the lug bolt head is flush with the hub. Works every time.
They make a tool for installing wheel studs. It's basically a bearing that the lug nut sits in and pulls the stud through when you tighten the lug nut. Can also use washers.
Quick lug stud install trick. Get an impact socket and use a lug nut and an impact use it to pull the stud all the way in. Little grease on the lugso it doesn't eat the metal up. Even washers or anything to shim up the lug work as well.
Pro Tip a OTC Balljoint press tool or even a large C-Clamp the appropriate size piece(s) of tubing and a couple of flat of steel makes installing those bushings in that subframe as well the control arms
For wheel studs I usually just use a bunch of washers and a lugnut and tighten it to pull it threw works great and is easy to do on car depending on the hub instead of taking the whole hub off

Was about to say the same never seen someone struggle with wheel studs like this 😂
I usually have a stretched stud when I do this. Might be just the cheap auto parts store studs but. Stretched no good
Yep always used a lug nut and a collar or spacer of some sort. Tighten it up and pull it into the hub. Never had any issues.

They make a tool for installing wheel studs. It's basically a bearing that the lug nut sits in and pulls the stud through when you tighten the lug nut. Can also use washers.
ARP says not use that tool or that method, press or ball joint tool only.
