I'm still using an iPhone 7 in 2024, and it's still working perfect. Was actually looking at a XS Max with a bigger memory.

Underrated feature of this phone is the weight, feels so much better than every other “Max” sized iPhone
My son got this FREE from a friend and he loves it. I’m surprised it got iOS 17. I installed a screen protector & case. It’s good to go
I always thought this & the X were the prettiest iPhones EVER made I wish Apple would make the X the new SE with all the updated internals 🤞

Easily one of the best designs for sure (even though my favorite is 5s/5SE!)
I still use this phone. I am probably going to upgrade to the 15 Pro this year if I find a good deal. It is still decent with no lag or hiccups. The Apple A12 was really ahead of its time, it is still an amazing chip today when it comes to the CPU performance. Battery and camera are starting to feel outdated, but still functional. I do keep my phones for a long time before upgrading.
The only reason I ever need to upgrade is when my battery life gets bad
I have kept my 8 Plus and 11 Pro Max because I don't upgrade off of them. I just take them to Apple and buy a new battery .

I remember wanting this phone so bad cause of its size back when it came out in September 2018, I had a 5s at the time but upgraded to a 6s in 2019, I upgraded then to an XR in 2020 and then that was my main phone till a few months ago I got a used XS Max for a good deal and then used that for a while till I upgraded to an iPhone 12 Pro Max. The XS Max is one of the best phones I’ve ever felt and it even feels better than the 15 Pro Max which I also had but sold it as I barely found any differences compared to my 12 Pro Max
just switched form a xs max to a 15 pro max... and honestly it works the same. its just slightly more new features, longer battery life and better cameras. otherwise it works the same. i do love the magsafe tho

This is why I love iPhone even these older iPhones perform very well and hold up against much newer devices. Coming from someone on a budget, I’m always looking at these older iPhones and seeing what is the best value. It’s insane you could buy a phone like this on day one and if you pushed it, you could hold onto it for a decade. Yeah you miss out on newer features and upgrades, but it’s impressive a phone like the XS Max even in 2023 is so good.
Ive been using the xs for 5 years. I just upgraded to an iphone 12 yesterday. the battery and camera is the only reason i got a new phone. If i replaced the battery on my iphone xs i think i could’ve used it for another 5 years. These phones are a great value.
Honestly I would still buy this today. Just because it's the only big iPhone that's cheap.
I’m currently using the XS, and the only reason I’m not just buying a new battery this year is the imminent loss of the latest iOS. What I get in its place depends on the timing of the release of the next iPad Mini - looking at either 13 Mini or 15 Pro.

Is the sounds especially the bass any good?
i still use my xs max. My battery is at 84 percent. but i don't notice any difference since I got it. it works fine. I'm only thinking of upgrading because of the new usb-c and the ability to put a microphone in the usb-c cause I shoot a lot of videos.
me & still using this model until now. It is still performs well except the battery life starts to drain out a bit faster. I would said drain about faster by 30%. But it still manageable as I can charge it in car or office.

The XS was the last phone designed by Johnny Ivs it is timeless premium apple piece. If it had 5g and upgraded cameras, 120 frame rate and camera island I’d buy it again at $1000. I returned my iPhone 15 pro I’m back on my XS still runs great and feels better.
I miss 3D touch on old gen iphones thats the only feature i feel like very useful.. i had xs max for almost 4 years last year i switch to 14 pro max.

I’m using 16.6.1 on my iPhone Xs Max with 81% battery health and it runs smoothly so far but the battery drains fast So, I wonder should i update to 17.1.2 because i don’t want my phone’s battery become worse after an update. Any suggestions?
XS Max (or 10 ”Pro Max” as I call it) was so much better than the disappointing XS or 10minuS. Love the design so much and the battery was decent for the time. The biggest flaw is probably that modem, cell strength and similar issues.
Might be of my favorite iPhones of all time together with 4s, ”5SE”, 13 Mini and 15 Plus.
This is the iPhone I really wanted to buy refurb 'cause it just looks so pretty. I bought the refurb 11 pro max instead, and I'm a little bit disappointed of my decision-making. This is more beautiful than the 11 pro max.

I got my XS Max in November 2018 and it has been my daily driver since 🎉
Battery is not great, cameras are decent for 2023 standards, and the 4 GB RAM isn’t enough now but it still works!
The OLED screen is still beautiful and not missing out in that department 💯
I upgraded to a new iPhone as main phone. But have this aside for reading and browsing along with another android to tinker with. iPhone XS series are great. One of a kind. Was so uniquely made by Apple

I have the iphone 10 and i think it takes great pictures. I have been thinking about getting the 15 but i cant decide. i only use the camera for 2 things. looking at trip pictures on my computer (getting iphone picture from my phone to my computer is a whole different headache!!) and i also like to print our 8 x10 pictures to put on my wall for my "travel art gallery" in my basement. if the iphone 10 works great for those to functions, would i have a reason to get a iphone 15 if the 10 prints out great 8X10? i dont care about videos, or editing functions. just to look at on my computer and to print out 8x 10's!
great phone still honestly if you don't need extra camera features and your battery isn't toast its still more than capable. the performance is quite good still it slow down after you open more apps just like the 11 imo this is due to lack of ram not the cpu at all. this was fixed imo on the 12 pro and above which keeps up to the 15s in ur speed test very well it doesnt slow down the more apps u open i dont think that cpu bump is enough from 11s to 12s to make the 12s much closer to the 15s.

So actually in south Africa we dont have apple stores we have authorized resellers so it becomes quite expensive to buy an iphone... some do afford the latest iphones but nost use the older model or use Samsung since it has many variations of affordable phones

The X / XS is the pinnacle of iPhones for me. It feels great in the hand, is very thin. I’m so sick of the giant bumped out cameras.

2:20 i feel like the iphone xs max will last up to ios 19 or maybe even 20 because the s model phone always last like 3-4 years longer than the normal model for example the 6s lasted 3 more years than the iphone 6 for this reason i see apple giving the iphone xs series 4 more years longer than the x

I call the 6s and 6s plus "the last great iPhone." I also call the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max "the last good looking iPhone." The 6s and 6s plus have a headphone jack and don't look ugly like the iPhone 7 and 7 plus; The xs and xs max don't have the hideous and oddly placed camera layouts like every iPhone does now.
I really regret selling my Iphone 11 pro-max(s). I should've kept them📱📱📱👍

The iPhone XS Max I bought used in 2021 and it was my 2nd ever Apple product, first ever iPhone. It was the product that convinced me that Apple actually made decent devices after not using them for years. The only reason I got the 14 pro max is cause of 120hz, needing 1tb storage and me just working a lot and having more money. Same reason I got the 15 pro max
