I already had my 1-year extension letter(now long expired) and upon an infopass appointment and getting a stamp on my passport (1-555 1-year extension) now that I was covered for another year, I then further just received the new 18 month extension letter, which in reality I didn't need due to the I-555 on my passport already. When I received the 18 month letter it expired 3 days later after receiving it. This was due to my I-751 receipt notice dated 18 months m(less 3 days) prior to its date....complex stuff!

Yes, as long as you have passport stamp from USCIS office,you can use the expired green card along with stamp on your passport, as long as your case is pending you can get a stamp. my.uscis.gov/appointment

We received our notification in July that my wife's Green Card expires on October 26, 2018. However, we're just now in a financial position to pay the filing fee ($595). It's now September 19th. My question is this. Are we still "ok" if USCIS receives our I-751 before the deadline? For some reason, I thought they expected us to submit the application right then and there. Marissa Munez it took us to receave first notice about two and a half weeks it was one year extension than the second receipt notice we receaved sometime in July informing us that they added additional 6 months to the extantion .Hopefully that helps

My 2 years GC will expire on March 7,2019. I filled my petition/case form I-751 on Dec 10,2018 and I got texted messages from uscis they was received my case and give me receipt numbers as well on Dec 14,2018 and they did mentioned to follow in mail for official Receipt Notice (form I-797) but I didn’t get any mail from uscis till this time. I call the uscis and I spoke with someone and they give me referrals numbers after 3 days someone from uscis call me back and they mentioned will send by mail, after a week I got email from uscis as well to telling me I will be receiving mail by the end this month, will keep you posted, please try to call back uscis , thank you hope everything is going well
When uscis texted you , they give you receipt numbers rite? Use that receipt numbers when you call uscis, they will asked our receipt numbers (1 800-375-5283) uscis numbers -

I traveled from USA to my country and come back again without any problem. You just need valid passport , original extension letter and your green card expired.
Your valid (not expired) passport of origin, (not the USA passport, as you mentioned, green card holders don't have US passport), and your expired resident card with the receipt notice.

The same thing with me. USCIS received my application May 2018. I received receipt notice of GC extension June 2018 but I haven't received schedule to do biometrics.
If you are planning to relocate to another state, you have to call USCIS to change your mailing and physical address. That way you will receive correspondence from USCIS.

My 2 years GC will expire on March 7,2019. I filled my petition/case form I-751 on Dec 10,2018 and I got texted messages from uscis they was received my case and give me receipt numbers as well on Dec 14,2018 and they did mentioned to follow in mail for official Receipt Notice (form I-797) but I didn’t get any mail from uscis till this time. Could you please tell me how long gonna be and what the next step I will have to do, thank you
Ni nyoman Martini did you get the form I797 is extension letter for 12 or 18 months.
And you have to go for biometrics they gotta mail to you another letter for that.
Not yet, I called uscis they give me referrals numbers and they call me back and sent me email to inform me I will get notification the end of this month. Thank you for the reply, will keep you updated
I have the same situation with you, filed my i751 on jan 18, received text notice from uscis that i797 letter is to follow by mail on jan 25 and until now I haven’t receive my any letter yet. They didnt cash my check payment also. I am very worried as my GC is expiring om april 5. Time is running fast. I tried calling USCIS but can’t able to talk to anyone of them. I want to know know how long should we receive the letter by mail after you applied, which includes the extension of the green card. By the way i sent my application in TEXAS service center.
Hi Erickson, when we filed our form i751 they cash our check before I got texted messages from uscis. I call the uscis and I spoke with someone and they give me referrals numbers after 3 days someone from uscis call me back and they mentioned will send by mail, after a week I got email from uscis as well to telling me I will be receiving mail by the end this month, will keep you posted, please try to call back uscis , thank you hope everything is going well
When uscis texted you , they give you receipt numbers rite? Use that receipt numbers when you call uscis, they will asked our receipt numbers (1 800-375-5283) uscis numbers -
i apply for i-751 and received notice letter 18 month , can i travel with that letter and expired green card ? do i need another document to travel abroad ? is there any problem to come back to us ?
I traveled from USA to my country and come back again without any problem.
You just need valid passport , original extension letter and your green card expired.
I thought green card holders were not entitled to a US passport ? ... is the extension letter plus expired green card enough ?
Your valid (not expired) passport of origin, (not the USA passport, as you mentioned, green card holders don't have US passport), and your expired resident card with the receipt notice.

Carolina Leger you can go to USCIS and click the link for removal conditions of greencard and you’ll see all the info where can you send your documents which state you are staying..

Hey yes there is biometric thats why the payment was sent for biometrics and application

On website it says case received thats all i have received extension letter and since 6months i didnt receive anything??
The same thing with me. USCIS received my application May 2018. I received receipt notice of GC extension June 2018 but I haven't received schedule to do biometrics.

Hi, if I have I 751 pending and I have one job another state it is ok for me or not ? Can i go to the job by another state?
If you are planning to relocate to another state, you have to call USCIS to change your mailing and physical address. That way you will receive correspondence from USCIS.
