I stumbled upon this channel and now I can't leave, he is a good dose of goodness that you don't find in the world anymore.
Judge Caprio ... I watch the program "Caught In Providence" from the Fiji Islands.. You and your team are a wonderful breadth of justice and compassion to all in Providence and an example to all!!
What a good man.He is the kind of judge every single judge should be.He is respectful,reasonable,kind and smart.
And listens to the people and understand their circumstances...And then goes from there..

It's my first time watching this show and I must say Judge Caprio is fair. He really cares about people.

This judge is a very good man! He has my respect!!
He has changed over the years. In the early episodes he is still very compassionate but all about business. In the later years he is much more relaxed and injects more humor
The city is always putting the heat on to collect more money.
I binged some old episodes and Judge Caprio hardly if ever let anyone go without them paying hefty but for the classical reasons (0.3 for red lights, broken meters etc. when it is outright obvious the accused is not guilty or flat out broke when he still would get them on a payment plan).
Waving the penalties seems obligatory (tripling tickets is a profiteering practice anyway) when showing up in court but before rising to fame he had at best a reasonable approach to the whole squeezing citizens for minor traffic misdemeanors the city imposes.
He clearly spent the vast majority of his career raking in the shekels for the city without all that much consinderation for the people.
WIth that said he still understood that he can do much good with the show beeing succesfull and showing mercy sells way better, these days you can tell him some sad personal story unrelated to the case and it´s dismissed (the feelgood viewers want to see) since ratings and image bring in more in the long term.
Not doubting the Judge in his charackter and that he enjoys these days way more when he is allowed to really show compassion and mercy but he is or was not the angel people make him out to be.

He obviously realized how popular his kindness videos were received and you can tell he probably hates making these people pay what little money they have just for parking violations.
simply adore thia Judge! He has a wonderful sense of humor and he has a lot of compassion for those appearing before him. I live across the country and can honestly say we need ore Judges like him. I watch the shows on youtube as well
This judge makes me want to drive from VA to Prov, park illegally just to get a ticket so I can meet him, lol. Most fair judge I've seen so far.

Judge Caprio is amazing. I'm from England and absolutely love him. Wish more judges are like him. They need to watch him and take notes. Hope one day if my legal path and dream comes true I become a judge as compassionate as him. I use my hubbys CZcams just for him ❤

In every city, they should have nice apartment buildings with big pools for therapy, with cheap rent, for Veterans Only can live and work there... etcetc !!! I've never seen the judge answer when asked how he is doing. But he makes the point to find out how the defendant is doing. Lol

That night parking thing is such a scam.
And that not being able to park your car in front of your house is awful.
We need more judges with this much compassion. Yes - criminals and lawbreakers need to pay for what they have done, but extenuating circumstances need to be taken into consideration as well.

i don't know your name , but a judge with your empathy and compassion might be as rare as a hen's tooth. i've watched an episode where comments were not allowed. who thought that was a good idea? nothing but blessings on you. D.C. makes 63 million bucks yearly off parking tickets partly by nefarious means. they investigate themselves so you can imagine where that goes .you are in the right place,. you really help people that need it. wish there were a great many judges like you.

I used to work for port authority at Miami. National airport, and part of my responsibility was go to court for a different citations. I handed out. I new a judge that had the same attitude as you and I must say that the world needs more compassionate and understanding, judges like yourself. Keep up the good work.

Oh wow I think Judge Caprio is a honest to goodness and kind man. I wish Judge Judy was more like him. She just enjoys calling people stupid and dumb and jerks or phony. Judge Caprio seems to truly understanding and kind and very compassionate towards the people who come in front of him.
They're in two entirely different situations. Judge Judy has to pick one side over the other, meaning one side is always going to be upset (that's a bit oversimplified but it is what it comes down to). Judge Caprio can be as nice as he likes, and the state doesn't really care.

Judge Caprio has done an OUTSTANDING job but now is the time to expand his horizons and develop a plan for ALL judges to follow. Because the system of CHRONIC disenfranchisement is prove positive that Judge Caputo and Judge Lauren Lake needs to TRAIN judges on Code of conduct that so many are lacking.
Then let’s make their training FEDERAL CODE OF CONDUCT for ALL judges!
Both judge Caprio and Lake are so empathetic, and compassionate and down to earth....always a kind word even when being stern.
This judge has it all, compassion, common sense and knows the law. I would be outraged if I own a home and could not overnight park in front of my house, I would pay taxes, and pay a "fee" for $100 to "legally" park. I would speculate people who own homes get stickers for free.

Traffic court judges are usually always more than fair if you have a good believable excuse, I once had £1000's in fines but knew nothing about it cuz everything was being sent to my old address, the judge cancelled all the late fees and said I only had to pay £150 because I was unemployed at the time, made me really glad I went to court and didn't just ignore it

It seems like most of the people are having trouble with parking. Some people have tickets just for parking in front of their house. They should use the money they make from people and these parking tickets and help the local people out and create parking. The judge is very fair and only dealing with the cards he is dealt. It's not his fault the city can't supply parking. I see all these people who seem to be good people and the city takes all their money. It's very sad but I like the judge and I like the show.
