Geertruida makes sense, 12months left on his contract £25/30m. Versatile and can play anywhere along the back line and dm. He’d be a good signing if not for a starting spot then definitely a squad player

@@jbk504 versatile players are needed in squads, no good having 1/2 specialists each position, players get injured.. robo got injured & them tsimi got injured too! So if we didn’t have a gomez, we’d have been fu**ed. So nothing wrong with 2/3 players in the squad that’s able to play a variety of positions

Why does this make sense ? He looks to me to be very similar to Wan Bisakka - strong, good tackler, right footed but (1) pretty average with the ball., and (2) like Bisakka goes off his feet in many tackles which is very high risk in the EPL (as Wan Bisakka has found). We already have TAA and Bradley at RB so he’s not getting in over them, if you buy him as a utility player across the RB, CB and DM then he is effectively competing with Gomez - who’s just had his best ever season. So, unless we are selling Gomez this makes no sense at all.
Entire back room and some first team players need to leave to allow this change to have a chance of working. Too many were far too comfortable under jurgen and his way of doing things for so long. A new backroom team all pulling in the same direction is the only way to ease the impact of jurgen and his team leaving

We already have 3 Dutch Players , and our Champions league suad will mean that if we buy another player from overseases, then lets buy a proven defender not a defender from the 9th best league in Europe Piero Hincapié, Gonçalo Inácio both play CB an can cover left back, Geertruida as played over 70% of his games as a right back and we have Bradley and Ramsey
Darwin, Mo, Virgil... it is what it is and it will be what it will be. I can't wait for next season more and more as time ticks on.
Let's hope Slot can coach something into Dazzah and can get the best out of him. Like you say, it's THERE but it needs a concentrated bit of coaching.

I think Liverpool offer Salah a year extension on the same terms just protect his value if nothing else. It's 50/50 he goes but it won't be to Saudi imo as he still has something to offer at the elite level for at least a year or two. Also pretty sure we wouldn't sell him to a rival / Prem club either.
I want a slightly larger squad. A small squad that Jurgen preferred was our downfall with all the games we have to play. It made too many player too injury prone.
From all of the Arne Slot videos I've watched Endo won't be able to cover the ground required in his system. Squad player absolutely....but starter in Champions League....No. So depending on finances and amount of ins/outs maybe a first choice DM

I would not be surprised at any departures at this point. Not what I want but with TAA, VVD and Salah, I think you could add in a lot of others including Alison, Robertson, Gomez, Tsimikas, Diaz and others could well be set to go.

Lutsharel Geertruida was discussed at length last July and August.. Gonçalo Inácio as more experience at NATIONAL TOURNAMENT LEVEL MORE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE THAN Geeertruida, also as played left back and Defensive midfield. Geertrudia as played more right back games than Centre Back ...I still think Matip will get a years contract to get him fit and will be sold in January, the club owe Joel Matip that much..
We owe Matip nothing tbh, he's gained a fortune while injured as it is. Let him go.

why are our fanbase scapegoating salah? the man has created 20+ big chances created in the league alone. If we had a decent goalscorer like Isak we would've won the league. Without salah and his creativity we're a bottom table club!
His performances in terms of pressing, passing and dribble completion are waning… his missed shots are also poor… he has let us down in terms of performance… but the final thing is the disrespect and petulant behaviour that he demonstrated not once but twice… as he was about to come on and again the mix-zone post match… no player is bigger than the club. I don’t recall a bigger fall from grace in my 54 years of following the Club from the City of my birth.

Acid test is see how he performs in another team. My guess is he would flop like Bobby Firmino and Sadio Mane have. They were all brilliant for us together at their peak but things move on and it’s time for renewal of the front three.
@@j.s3300There have also been periods when his performance has dropped off. He would not make my top 5 Liverpool strikers… I know he is a winger but he is as ball greedy as a Striker. When you have pace and ability it drops off very quickly. The club has a chance to make money back from the outrageous wages that he has been paid… will he take a pay drop? I do t think so with his Agent… there are good business reasons to sell him and with Edwards in place… the data doesn’t provide a good reason to keep him. An ageing player with declining stats… Edwards will use this to raise funds and make a statement about how he intends to run the Club.

Bajetic cannot be relied upon as his still young and developing.... Can't just throw him in... Its not conclusive that he is a bonafide cdm.. he may be an 8. Endo is likely to leave to Germany... Sadly he's limited... and a more conventional DM brought in.... The midfield is week as too many offensive players and none of them are sustainable without a competent enforcer DM.. that is press resistant and can cope with the physicality of PL... Doak needs a loan move hes more of a moneyball player...

Cash in on Diaz too since he wants to move to Barca and build that first team around Elliot, Danns, Koumas, Carvalho and Bajcetic. Endo's defensive stats on FBRef are some of the worst of any starting DM. No team has won the EPL with such a DM and the guy is neither physical, nor fast.
