  • This job which is done in the Sparks NV Toll Brothers Homes Complex, called Stonebrook, was done to replace the customers DIY curtains. They decided to work with us to help them get exactly what they wanted for the living space. They wanted blackout fabric to give them light control for watching their TV screen. But they also desired filtering light with sheer material. This gives them a view to the outside and maintains their privacy. They were very happy with the end result of this project. If you would like assistance with your draperies, please reach out to us. Our website is kemplerdesign.com. Go to the contact us page for your ability to send us your contact information so we can get started in helping you design and install your curtains or draperies. Please remember, that we do all types of window treatments. Thanks for watching!!

This is my all time favorite window treatment. It's fully functional and flexible. At night, blackout curtains closed so nobody can see in or out. Daytime, open to let in light with sheers to soften and calm the light entering the room. I've never understood curtains that don't close or open easily or curtains you can't touch because they are only for aesthetics.

i know *very* little about home decorating. is it technically wrong for me to call a blackout curtain a traditional curtain?
i mean, if a curtain isn't like that sheer curtain that you showed, then it's just the regular curtain you'll normally hang near a window (like a bedroom window).
or is there some difference between a blackout curtain and a regular curtain that i don't know about?

Thanks for the video. Do you sell that double drapery rod by chance? Do you have a reference for where to buy it?
