Recently a promising drug Ursodeoxy cholicacid has emerged as on alternative option for those patients of Cholelithiasis who have small, multiple cholesterol stone, patent cystic duct and functioning Gallbladder not willing for surgery as an alternative and effective option.
The option for medical management of Cholelithiasis seems to be safe and effective but needs to be administered for a longer period 6 months to 2 years
