Wild swimming expert Lynne Roper takes beginner Isobel Colchester on a journey to Sharrah pool, in the heart of Dartmoor in Devon.
Roper explains what first attracted her to wild swimming and how to pursue it as a hobby - even in winter. She also gives her top tips on how to swim safely and enjoyably.
Receive the water. She sounds a good instructor and the girl was animated. Good on her. Lovely spot!
Lovely. And no shrieking and squealing.... You're just getting quietly in there, with nature. Inspiring!
What a a stunning location. Really nice to see people getting plugged into nature!
So sorry to hear of Lynne's passing in summer 2016. We shared a flat together in Stirling and had such a hoot together with her and her dogs. Happy memories. Love Jean-Pierre XX

rookie mistake wearing wellies done that myself, beautiful video x
Really cool. I love swimming in my local river.
Awesome video!
I can remember swimming in the river on Dartmoor as a teenager , not sure if we actually swam much as we probably had too much beer at a local pub , but the river was a lovely coppery colour and a soft texture . Swimmers will understand .
its neat to see strong savy women--who except thenselves--in a nature adventure.i love it---very inspiring for me----the best---deatra parks
Brave ladies, I would happily sit on the rocks and watch!!
Awesome! In 7C water with no wet suit this is pretty impressive. May be I will try it one day. For me water and cold are two things that I keep appart but I love -10C and it would be risky to swim at those temperatures. I start getting cold when I ski at -25C and colder but in the water I don’t know. Another thing to learn. 😁😁😁!
Fantastic wish I could join in. Will look for somewhere local. Brill
you both looked wonderful swimming underwater.
More fyah!! 🔥
