This was my first full year of wild swimming....a full season! It feels so amazing after! Wow! Like magic! In full meditation, stillness, presence...silence...So much aliveness..swam naked, with ice, with snow, in the rain, with the ducks, on a beautiful sunny day ! Its all good! One with the water....just like being born again! 🙏🇨🇦❤️🌈🌎🏄♀️🦋

It's so nice to swim naked in a wild lake. The top of the top: hicking naked. Nothing is more freeing. Everybody (I should write every body) should try it.
You are perfectly right. People who never did cannot even imagine. Where did you hike nude ?
The countryside always makes me happy. This is the reason why I go on a hike every weekend, away from the city life. Cool music and video.

The British countryside is breathtaking and you're so fortunate to live there! Your video reminds me of my trip to the Lake District last summer. The water was way too cold for me to swim in though but it was fun watching you do it 😂
Hahaha oh I can imagine! I've had my fair share of cold lake dips... but these lakes are luckily quite a good temperature. :) And yes, I'm so very fortunate to live where I live, I really try not to take it for granted. xxx

Adam and Eve loved to swim together in one of the rivers naked, but used to wear robes of light since they lived in the garden of Eden, before sin entered the world. You can read the Creation story found in the Bible, Genesis chapters 1 and 2.
@@pernelldh : It doesn't mention swimming, robes of light, or robes of any kind, other than the fig leaves they wore following the fall. Please stop adding your own details to Biblical stories.

I’m surprised you don’t have more comments for this wonderful video. The whole video is only grace and delicacy. It reminded me of my childhood when we went swimming in the river or lake in my area. The water is cold at first but as you say, there is something liberating in wild swimming. You always put a lot of poetry in your relationship with nature and in life, the simplest moments are the most intense.

@@mehitabel1290 I think you're misunderstanding the video. It's not about promoting a certain lake but more about inspiring people to find beautiful spots in nature close to where they live. The lake is in Sussex but I'd rather not share exactly where I live.
@@alexandrareuter327 Happy to respect that. Although "Sussex" is all we need. (And there was never any question of "promoting" anything, or anywhere). Nor would there be any need to say you lived there..

'Wild swimming' means in a natural body of water like a river or lake, not being naked. Don't think we have an equivalent for 'skinny dipping' in British English.

I wish I could live in the countryside of UK or US.... I love the feeling of being in a village, countryside.... Where you could just make a farm or garden, and raise 🐤🐥 and cattles... Work hard everyday, then drink beer at night.... And also praise God everyday......Go to lake and rivers nearby, catching fish and big lobsters.... It's my dream Mann... This is all I ever wanted in this pathetic world......

Love this video. In Finland this is regular, daily life. All nature is open and free, no national trust, no risks to our health etc. Great to see this material in the UK sprouting up.

What a beautiful video. What's not to like. Beautiful girl, beautiful setting/surroundings and a soothing voice to accompany it. As you say Alexandra swimming naked is somewhat magical, especially if you have someone else to enjoy the experience with.

I am an artist and creative who also practised wild swimming when I lived in Panama 🇵🇦; and now live in NE Oregon near the powerful and vast Columbia River gorge. The song you play is absolutely emotional for me...I wonder if I might ask which song it is? This is the first video Ibhave watched of yourr channel and definitely NOT the last! Thank you for sharing ALL the moments you have; the “off” days as well as the days you are in the best spirits. I am now taking what I call my “Wild Soaks” which is just to dip myself a bit in a nearby babbling brook (very small, only waist high)...but very invigorating all the same! Thanks again.

I grow up swimming in swampes , Creeks , rivers , ponds , mud holes , ditches . Throw in a few alligators some shakes an logger head turtles an see how much swimming gets done .
I'd love to be able to do that where I live, but not a good idea in Florida. 🐊🐊
I tried this in the nude with my brother at Tottenham reservoirs. It was wonderful. Unfortunately a reservoir came up with an alsation and ordered us out. I hear now that there are massive fines in that area for swimming in the reservoir. So sad. This is what my brother loves and can take it much colder than I can.

No, no, no, the last time I did this, I got a mocassin wrapped around my ankle. I was 9 then and I am 76+ now. Going to the highly chlorinated clear pool water!

Water moccasins and flesh-eating bacteria are what I’m most afraid of when I go freshwater swimming in the South! My cousin saw a water moccasin once right before we got in the river, so we thought, nope!
There are no venomous water snakes in the UK
@@momatmach1 they weren’t referring to the UK. Water moccasins are native to the southern US.
