Depends on the situation of course, but that Bomber flight puts it on the green in 1 here. Given how straight he’s hitting the Bomber, might be worth it to bomb it if the situations are right.

When you hit it 310 with a cut that's what you should do. I hit a bullet cut that rolls out to 255 which I use pretty often. But I'm looking to turn it over as I can get it 280 with good launch. It matters more for me though as a 9i vs PW is a lot lower stress than 7i vs 5i lol.
Driver has always been my trouble club. If you have a club you swing hard at and have confidence…. It is invaluable. I think I have found the one. Mac found his, confidence with driver can not be overstated.

As a lefty, I'd take his gamer swing and results any time. I like the power fade.
there isn't a golf course in the world that Mac can't play with the gamer flight. he could lose 20 yards off of that and still be just fine. with his distance we are really talking about the difference between a 1/2 sand wedge vs. a 3/4. That's not really game changing. Would love to see his arccos data though and how his style of play impacts his scoring.

5:24 i am curious if trackman, flightscope, gc4 all generate similar carry numbers with same input numbers. My number is very similar to mac’s baseline number, but my carry is nowhere near his in my Mevo. I get around 275 carry with 163mph, 13’, 2000rpm in my mevo🤔
I think altitude has a lot to do with it. If I google flightscope trajectory optimizer, put in his gamer numbers, and choose sea level I get 274 carry. If I choose flagstaff, AZ I get 294. If I put Kupap, India (googled highest golf course in the world) I get 314.

His spin numbers were kinda low for his bomber swing. I wonder what would happen if he hit his safety cut with the autoflex? Or, if the loft was increased in the autoflex with his bomber swing.
I'm left handed and I hit my driver safety shot literally the same was as Mac and it works. In my experience, draws can be too risky and less beneficial rather on most courses I've played

Nice, but I don’t think it’s worth 1) the wear and tear on the body or 2) bigger misses (or even just the fear of) when you gotta post a score. Seems like his fade is a great balance of good distance and control, without putting undue stress on his back, joints, etc.

for him it isn't worth it for someone hitting it 230 in the air getting it closer to 250 is a huge boost, similarly though being in the fairway is most important for the large majority of golfers if you hit your driver in the air 250 or over chasing distance if it makes you sacrifice accuracy is a fools game in my opinion .
if it isn’t really sacrificing distance though (like Mac isn’t), worth it to use the bomber flight in the right situations like this hole where he can get on in 1.
@@lawbinson I'm sure he swings harder on drivable or short par 4s. But that isn't chasing distance.
Chasing distance is getting a driver that helps you hit it farther thus making it less forgiving and swinging 90-100% on all drives.
What it appears he has done is gotten a driver that he has a tight dispersion forgiving for him and swings 85% with it. Costs him maybe 20 yards but he hits it far enough where that doesn't matter necessarily

Autoflex does it again! Mine is treating me poorly at the moment. I think it's this old body's fault though.
One has to be honest...given all the skill Mac has in shaping his shot...he is no Matty when it come to distance and the type of swing Matty has shown us all over the years. End of Story!
While we’re being honest, this is one of your worst takes since watching the channel. Matt developed into a good golfer but with all due respect Mac’s game is on a different level. I think nostalgia has got the better of you a little here.
There is literally a match on THIS channel with Mac vs Matty. Their distance is basically identical, both right around 170 ball speed. Mac said it was at about 180 at one point.
Matty leaving TXG was GREAT. We now get Mac and get to see Matt in MORE videos than before but on his own channel.

Hence, DJ swing is not Bryson, and Bryson is no Rory...and nighter is TW; each have his is long and each have amazing swing. Hell, one of The Greatest golf ball hitter of ALL time is and will always be Moe Norman. But his swing, despite is effectiveness, is by no mean as eye appealing to me as Hogans. Thus, I quote: "I think nostalgia has got the better of YOU a little here!" Moreover, you post to my comment proves it...Check Mate! All that aside, Mac is an amazing player...I do NOT know ANYONE that has the type of swing he has and the things he can with ball movement...it is simply awesome. Yet as a "Boomer" within the TXG channel, given what we have all have seen....I stand behind my words brother.
