This is one of those songs that sounds good on first listen, even better on second listen, and then it becomes one of your all-time favorites. Perfect earworm material.

Such a great feel good song. Kanami always makes her solos to where they fit perfectly but don't take away from the flow of the song. Best band on the planet!
Yeaaah I think that is how a great solo should feel
"Choose Me" has so many great RnR chops, it's kinda unbelievable. From Saiki's old-school phrasing and cadence; MISA's driving bass, her special riff after Kanami's brilliant, rocking main solo, and her pulls at the end of the song that really funks it up; to Kanami's original composition, off-beat octave stretches during the verses, and her addition of a second uncomplicated yet super tasty solo complete with harmonic pinch; to Akane's unique snare & tom flurry that launches the choruses; and to Miku's octave-down, in & out vocal backup and lyrics... all makes "Choose Me" a throwback rocker that surprised me when I first heard it - and I'll bet most anyone - that they would come up with this western-style, rock 'n roll classic.
Of course, after years later, it's not surprising at all coming from this important band of geniuses who are almost single-handedly bringing back the joys and soulfulness of rock for people from all places and ages to hear. They somehow always have one foot in punk, which is just awesome. My sources tell me you haven't heard Wonderland yet - do that next! That live version is epic. There's some great arrangements and some truly epic transitions in that one.
Yeaaah I feel that, to be honest Punk is not one of my favorite genres, but combined with other genres is cool

@@Temporal72 Yeah, I'm the same way. I respect bands like The Ramones and Black Flag, but I don't enjoy them, y'know? And I long ago tired of pop punk. But it's those punk influences in their music that make every song feel fun and alive. I sort of liken it to the difference between biting into a raw jalepeno and eating some good spicy salsa - it works if you give it context!
And oh, you poor thing, you listened to Play instead, I bet it was just awful ;)

This was often used as a show opener, and isn't on any of their albums (like Different). I guess they want to make sure their Greatest Hits Vol1 will have even more reason to buy it someday. ;-)

As always, enjoyed your technical breakdown for your muso subscribers. These ladies are next level skill-set with their instruments and Saiki knocking it out of the park again. Super punky/alternative vibe, which is my natural area musically with Akane's drum fills the cherry on the cake. Keep up the good work!!

I wonder how many female fans Band Maid has? They appeal to males at every level and I do not demean them. They manage to be wildly attractive and appealing without the slightest hint of projected sex appeal. I love them for their talent, energy, desire and ability to constantly improve. I have never seen a band with such stage impact nor such all round niceness.

A casual review of video showing the audience/wait lines gives me a figure of about 1 in 10 fans being female. I feel a bit disappointed by this. Perhaps if the male fans would attend conceris in maid outfits we would attract more women to the lfandom.

BAND MAID has great songs, technical songs, but is a genuine live band. Many songs are more brilliant and attractive live. Try the live version of the official video "Choose Me". The live version has English subtitles.

This song doesn't get reacted to enough. A real earworm. Thry almost always play this in concerts.. I love the rhythm of Saiki's voice in this song. This is a rare song where I prefer the MV. The live version has loads of energy but IMO the MV has a better mix (easier to hear Kanami) and Saiki looks amazing in black and white

This was the first song they wrote themselves... as of 2018 the Japanese fans rated these Kanami solos as their favorite of all Bandmaid songs, which is why it probably has the most listens on Spotify. Welcome to the fanclub!

How is it possible that reactor channels averaging 2-4K views per channel are reporting 30-plus K views for “Bandmaid”, a group of average-skilled musicians strumming along to recorded music during a live performance?
How is it possible that reactor channels averaging 50-80 comments are reporting 500 comments for Bandmaid, containing ridiculous claims for average musicians in maid costumes, who never improvise live and whom multiple eyewitnesses swear are not playing their instruments?
Who is “Steve”?

On a serious note: the people whose money you are taking, by lying to them, hire attorneys. (Attorneys are highly educated people who study criminal behavior.) They don’t think it’s right for people to lie.
Most of us shy away from dishonest behavior because it feels wrong, and we would not want anyone to do that to us.
Some of us will do it anyway, and only stop when we get caught; fined, or put in jail, or both.

This strikes me as odd.....most of the adulation for this band, these written comments, all read and sound very similar.
ALMOST as though they were written by the same person....and unusual grammatical errors by people with English-speaking-sounding names. Claims that can’t be taken seriously - LOTS OF THEM.
I looked up a name or two online, and can find no evidence that they actually exist. BeenVerified, Twitter, Facebook- that’s very strange.
Now who would do that ? The same puppet-masters pumping music into the speakers at live shows for these musicians to strum their guitars to ?

The only thing they can’t manipulate? The music really isn’t very good.
