Glad you gave McBride some love, the kid has been ballin and been a season saving presence honestly
26:51 man thank you for giving our centers some love 🙏🏾 People don't realize Dallas has been trying to win with Dwight powell starting at center finishing the game with donuts. There was no rebounding, no defense, no scoring, and to add two guys who are really good at all that is a massive upgrade.
10000000%
I really appreciate what Powell has been bc he's improved into a decent NBA player, but just isn't enough for what the team needs as a consistent starter/finisher.
Been frustrated with DP starting, they're gonna beat down Sacramento Queens this week 2games in a row
Dallas is the best team in the west now
That McBride kid is the real deal. Whenever I watch him play he's a straight up flamethrower. Not only that, he's a really good defender especially at his size.
Josh Hart can shoot, its all mental. I've seen him many times hesitating when he's wide open. He had a better pecentage last year.
Still finding a way to be great
He lost a shooting contest to Knox Redick bro
bro shot 50% from the field like a season ago and now he shoots like 41% and 30% from 3 lmao what a bum
It's more about just being worn out. He's playing so incredibly hard on defense that offense is when he can get a little energy back. As for percentages, he's shooting considerably less attempts around the basket and the ones he get there are contested way more often. That could tie back to energy but that's not known.
Agreed it just looks like he hesitates to shoot because he's afraid to miss. He's got the form and the release and he squares to the basket just fine. All mental at this point.
Add Naz Reid to this list. This man is so good! Timberwolves is so lucky to have him only as their backup. If Naz is on the other team, he would automatically be put on the starting lineup. I wish we had him in Dallas instead of Kleber.
It's crazy to think that he went undrafted too
Naz is so good he's technically not an "unsung hero" anymore. Major networks, including TNT, have been singing his praises all year. Naz Reid.
He's way underpaid
Dude’s been a human highlight reel this year
He is no wear a good defender as Maxi. Maxi is in a shooting slump but he can be a great defender, that’s why he always closes
Miles McBride is him. I was elated when my Knicks picked him loved him on WVU, impeccable defense, automatic shot. I absolutely love this kid. DEEEEUCCCEEEE
I still hope PJ Washington is going to get hot from 3… If he starts getting 13-14 a game it puts Dallas in a much better position just 2-3 3s, a couple floaters and a couple free throws. And depending on matchups for gods sake put Hardy in there for a few of THJ’s minutes when his shot isn’t falling.
Bruh when hardy gonna get minutes
@@gregordrizzlewing7339 Dude gets 9 minutes and 11 points lmfao plus a better passer
We still waiting on Timmy to get hot
The Mavs definitely need PJW to get it going before the playoffs but that might be difficult if he’s only utilized in a spot up capacity.
@@healthfadsfade facts put him in the game man he can defo cook on the second unit.
I see Minnesota Mike on the thumbnail I immediately press like
That's a Minnesota nice thing to do
Bite bite! 😂
Payton Pritchard segment, I’m here for it!!
I agree
Wordd
Love the Deuce praise he deserves it he’s been grinding so much and it shows
Give Dante Exum his flowers. Bro is shooting 50% from deep this year for the Mavs 🤯
Bro is shooting wide open shots and hitting them, IM not giving flowers for that. The dude is a turnover machine, and cant hit open layups or dunks. He has no business playing over Hardy. Mavs are 8-7 since his return
@@dustinbarlow1623 nice attempt at trolling buddy 😂 Anyone who actually watches Dallas knows that Exum is well ahead of Hardy
@@dangerwood5449Fr exum has literally been a beast when healthy. Obvious casual troll from the other guy.
@@dangerwood5449 Is that why Exum had more turnovers than Rebounds and points against the Jazz and was benched for Hardy, because he was better? Sexton was Exum Daddy. out of THJ, Exum and Hardy, who was the only player to have positive + and - numbers? #freehardy, Mavs were on a 7-0 run before Exum took us back to mid again. The Bench has averaged almost 5 points less a game since Exums return.
@@dangerwood5449 Ive literally watched every game and we have been 8-7 since Exum return, he is mid! The only move the mavs did was remove Hardy for Exum and we started losing.
I always love it when Minnesota Mike gets his flowers. He has a tendency to hit big 3s when we desperately need them
Tim Legler and JJ Redick, both shooters during their playing days, operates in the same wavelength. They actually didn’t meet for the first time until a couple years ago. They’re both great at what they do and have good chemistry with each other.
Jj leading the way when it comes to former pros turned pundits
Pritchard has been amazing this season.
He's been playing with great pace and getting teammates open looks without turning it over.
He's also probably the best offensive rebounder for a 6'1 guard in the league, always coming up with timely rebounds against bigger players.
Nice takas. Daniel Gafford and Josh Hart appreciated here greatly, for working their butts off everytime they're on the court.
Kentavious Champion Pope is so underrated
Homie so overrated man! This why I hate nuggets fans they win one title and can’t stop talking. Like shhhhhhhhhhh
@@Jay-om2gcbro KCPs a no nonsense pro, how can you hate
@@ryanmahon1 he a Lebron fan
@@Jay-om2gche won with the lakers too
@@Jay-om2gc all you have to do is beat them and it shuts us up. But Nuggets fans would like to formally thank the Lakers for trading him away. I mean it is not like the Lakers need a 3 and D guard with a championship pedigree. Stay salty, we love it.
I feel like Norm Powell deserves a shout, he's been great for the Clippers all year long.
From the east, Jalen Joohson is one player who improved a lot and he's one of top candidates for MIP.
Norm Powell is 6th man of the year
@@user-zb9zn1zz7d* Malik monk
Former Laker Josh Hart miss you bud 🙏🏼 knew since the moment I saw him play he would be a hell of a role player on a championship level team
Thanks for talking about Mcbride! He's been so good
It’s be pretty awesome to have JJ interview a couple 15th man options, talk about their journey, grind, etc. or even two-way contract players.
PJ Washington has been playing great point of attack defense for the Mavs, something they lacked. They need someone big and strong to guard the best player, and the Mavs finally have that (best version was Finney Smith in Doncic era).
PJ's shot has been wayward. However, he is always open from Luka and Kyrie penetration.
With patience, I'm sure he can find some consistency, simply 36% is needed for the Mavs to reach another level offensively.
Love your show JJ!
Love your work fellas.!
Best Bball comms!
10 games 2 go.. !
Excited 😂👍❤️✌️
Deuce Miles McBride WVU alma mater makes me happy hearing JJ talk about him
So happy for Mike conley
Wow..My homie Pritchard getting some love....lets go!!
Glad to see Mike Conley getting love, always been underrated especially in his hayday on that brilliant Memphis team.
IDC how much Herb gets talked about now, he’s still an unsung hero for the Pelicans imo. He means so much to the team
Great to hear you’ll be working with Josh Hart this summer. He needs to improve that shot. I notice he doesn’t extend the elbow all the way when he shoots and I think that makes his shot inconsistent as a result.
Luka having Gafford and Lively is the best thing that could happen for the Mavs with the energy and offensive choices not only when he is double-teamed, easy buckets, also as a great option with full court passes, and they are a great defensive option with size. Those two have got a lot of love for good reason, but since PJ hasn't unlocked his offense quite yet, he hasn't. I think he will with time and his defense and effort has been fantastic for the Mavs. He is going after the opponent's best scorer and doing one hell of a job with a team that hasn't really had defense, it makes the others put in more effort I think.
For Dallas, Gafford & Lively are their third and fourth most important player atm but I'd put Dante Exum in the top 5 as well. A third ball handler behind Luka and Kyrie, he played in the Euroleague so he meshes well with Doncic. And he's fairly clutch too.
Love this type of content
Mike Conley is one of my favourite guards!
3 legs videos in a row 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
JJ feeding us great content by the bucket full the last couple weeks between Leggy and the new Lebron pod. Love it!
It makes it really easy to root for the Knicks when you have role players like Hart, Achiuwa, Hartenstein and McBride playing so damn hard. I love it.
A few that come to mind right away:
Herb Jones
Monte Morris
Dante Exum
Isaac Okoro
Trey Murphy
Miles McBride
Jalen Suggs
I love how in basketball we talk of a 6”6 athletic man being incredibly good at rebounding as surprising
About damn time on the Knicks
Grayson Allen has saved my life as a Suns fan
Issac Okoro. Always plays D on opponent's best non-center.
Tre Murphy is Nice!
If Dallas make it to WCF give props to Tim , he call it all season long . One of a few analysts believe in the Mavs
I gotta pay for this in apple podcast
Keon Ellis Sacramento JJ
People barely pay attention to Sabonis let alone Ellis sadly.
He was huge on Saturday against the Magic.
Facts
JJ definitely has something against the Kings. His friendship with Haliburton could be a reason. But you never hear anything about Sac despite having an AllStar snubbed consecutive double double and league leading triple double year going on.
That soccer analogy needs work :)
THE DEUCE IS LOOOOOOOSEEEEEEE
Shout out to Duceeee 😤💪🏾
Dont forget that NC State is a Cinderella also, Legler! 😂
I think Isaiah Joe needs some love. I can definitely see him being someone that wins okc a game or two depending on how deep they go
23:12 Yes. 💯💯💯👁🌲👁
If you haven’t seen Trey Murphy episode of JJ podcast go watch it. All they do is talk smack to each other 😂😭
Love for Conley!
Although Tim says he’s giving them a chance at .500 without Towns.
They are 6-3 since Towns went down.
9:08 4x20 pt games. nice. one can say, he's playing at an all time high ;)
as of right now in the west 4-11 seed is really close lol its gonna be fun to watch
shoutout to Buckets McBride
I only fill out one bracket and that gives me a better investment in who to root for in each tourney game. I enjoy the tourney but don’t watch college bball before then so it makes it fun for me
Obvious but unsaid key item for the two-headed Lively / Gafford monster: one guy combined? 10 fouls.
This is why i support thibbs, and this current regime, look at how the talk has changed around the knicks. LETS GO KNICKS!
Leon rose needs his credit too, that man has been making nothing but sneaky home run moves since he got hired on. Don’t know if the Knicks are a true championship contender quite yet, but if they’re not, they’re right on that edge
With all due respect, Aaron Nesmith gotta start making some of these lists.
umm Grayson Allen?
Not unsung imo, he been good for phx for a while
@@kennethxu1789if he's not unsung then derrick lively, josh hart and mike conley aren't either
@@srdepr9186facts
@@srdepr9186maybe Josh hart and Conley, but definitely not Lively. Lively and gafford have made the Mavs defense very legit and can score at a insane %
@@joedirt3333 nah they've been hyping up the luka/lively connection since the beginning of the season. i didn't mention gafford for a reason
Pritch comes from that Kyrie cloth facts!
Tim Legler needs to get a head coaching job. I think he’s be great for the NBA

Minnesota Mike.
My 3 from each. I'm not trying to argue with anyone. Just post your top 3 in a reply, wanna see what other people think. EAST - Alex Caruso/ garland/ horford WEST white dude on PHX , PF for okc don't remember his name my bad. And Nas Reed. Nas is probably my #1.
By White guy on Phoenix you mean greyson Allen ?!
@marcvillaagrasa7952 yes! Just forgot. I'm white btw so please don't take offense lol
I think harford is not underrated,I mean he's been an all-star six times..
@marcvillaagrasa7952 I mean for his age it is. I'm 35 play everyday and ain't sometimes man. That's all I'm saying. Now if it was 5 years ago I would agree.
Non taken,I'm White as well and saying White guy It definetly doesn't sounds offensive to me @@alex24mamba
I'd say Caris levert
surprised they didnt talk about jalen suggs
Dwight Howard isn't 6'11, JJ.
I like the Pelicans shoutout but I thought he was going to go with Herb Jones
Deuce!
Mike Conley impact been fun to watch still can't believe Utah gave him & naw to minnesota basically for nothing especially with how bad minnesota was struggling with d lo at pg youd think with them getting those minnesota picks you wouldn't wanna help them get better . Wolves miss the Playoffs last year without him imo
Using photos from the last episode as this episode’s thumbnail makes it look like this a reposted portion.
82% combined FG for Lively and Gafford is bonkas
No one is talking about the young sneaky Huston Rockets team on a 8 win streak 1.5 games back from GS!
That's because their own "fans" can't even spell the city's name correctly 😂. Can't take them seriously and can't take their fans seriously.
And above all players Jrue Holiday I mean he is the defitinition of being underrated
Malik Monk!
Is jj going to help hart like he helped grimes? Or is there someone else he has helped with his shot that i dont know of whose season is not awful?
In a word, and two initials - T. J. McConnell! Is there any other unsung player in the league who can’t dunk and can’t make three (in volume), who makes a bigger impact on his team?
he probably accidentally stepped on the 3-point line 8 times
Sometimes when I get done listening to those two talk I feel like I could go to the NBA right now at a slow 38 years old and shoot 45% for 3
Eric Gordon
"It pains me to say this...cause I don't like Trey..." lol. Trey might have to add you to his list of biggest haters alongside his dad and Larry Nance Jr!
Okoro or levert

We’re gona win one more

It’s the Denver Nuggets in ‘24
"Fall in love with some Cinderella and just root hard"... Aussies got any thoughts on that statement? :'D
What type of witchcraft is this, JJ talking to his future self on real time. 😂
Monk!!! Dude is legit all star off bench
Best two NBA analysts on earth. Stephen A and Skip the two worst.
We need yall to talk about Herb Jones The Pels don’t function the same without him
You should do it
Mavs have a very solid team but the media runs with the “Luka doesn’t have help” narrative and it’s nonsense. Gafford, Lively, PJ, and Exum are all HUGE difference makers and it’s good to hear some accurate credit.
He didn’t have help when they were injured and not in the team, so stop it, now the mavs are good and u are seeing that luka is the mvp
@@PepeVoltaireBartolemeMontesqui I’m saying the mavs team is better than the media gives credit, if you watched the video, both JJ and Legs agree. I’m totally fine with Luka for MVP so I don’t know what that has to do with the topic lol. Stop yapping dork
@@PepeVoltaireBartolemeMontesqui my comment is about the Mavs being underrated by the media and if you watched the video, JJ and Legs agree with me. I’m totally for Luka getting the MVP so not sure what you’re yapping about dork

grayson allen? he is feasting on open shots created by the gravity of booker, KD, and beal
I love Lively but he is loved in Dallas only because He is a legit big and they have been stuck with Dwight Powell for the past half decade, Gafford is the first real big Dallas has had since Tyson Chandler.
