- Changing your Amazon Fire Tablet lock screen wallpaper should be easy right? Well not exactly. In this video, I will show you how to change your Amazon fire tablet lock screen wallpaper, where to find custom wallpapers, and how to make your wallpaper on your home screen be different than your lock screen. I will also show you how to remove notifications and the search bar from the lock screen for a really clean-looking Amazon Fire Tablet.

Does anyone know how to size the wallpaper properly? ES File Explorer only allows me to take a small rectangle of the selected image, and I want a better selection.
You should be able to zoom and pan with your finger depending on the image or make your image the way you want it before you select it.

. I tried the wall alpha decoder but did not change my lockscreen only the wallpaper

Doesn't work for me either. I have an issue that even tech support couldn't help me with even after a full factory reset. Basically the wallpaper "shifts" to the right after I set it. On the lock screen its in the position I set but on the home screen it is always shifted to the right. Any help with this would be appreciated., I thought maybe by setting a separate home screen I could set something that doesn't matter if shifted e.g. a landscape or something.
It should shift. Hopefully, it will be fixed with updates.

Is it possible to keep the lock screen from fading out if its plugged into a charger? I have a fire 10 9th gen. I heard the older tablets have that echo show feature but I can't seem to get it to work for me
If you turn on show mode it will basically turn into an echo show and the screen will always be on.
@@SimplySmart123 yeah the toggle switch does not show up for me for some reason. Not sure if its related but when I open alexa, it doesnt recognize my already set up alexa network and it tries to set up a new alexa network

That could be it. Some options are not available outside of the USA. You can create an USA account and I bet it will show up!
Please let me know if I set wallpapers, they are set only on the main screen, and on the lock screen the Amazon wallpaper and it is not possible to change them
You can set them to be the same or different and you can change them anytime. Just check out the video.

This process worked after Christmas 2020 on my new Fire HD10 to have separate lock screen and wallpaper images, but my Fire recently reverted to both being the same. I tried this process again, and it will not work.

@@SimplySmart123 True. I've been doing this for quite a while and this week I was going to change the wallpapers and now it won't work. Also, there is a new notification that just says "Alexa Cards" and I don't know what it is and can't get rid of it.

It’s possible that they have changed the software so it might be a little different for your device. I am going to get a new fire tablet soon so I can make a new video.
Thanks for the video.The the other one(with windows tool box) is very informative. Is there a way of changing the Lock Screen wallpaper from the show mode of my Fire HD 8 2020? It’s a boring stock image and can’t seem to know how to change it. I am able to change it on the regular mode but not on the show mode.

@@DaveManalangLV You can change the wallpaper on show mode! I have a fire 8 hd 2022. Just go to settings, then select "Show Mode" then select "Home Screen" then you should be able to select a photo from your Amazon photos!

I don’t think you can remove those from your home screen but you can remove those from your lock screen.

The wall appear didn’t work! I was trying to change it to my photo. But it only saved the one I chose in the Es file.

It may be in a different location in you setting’s depending on your Fire OS version.
I did what was shown in the video but it worked for 5 seconds I set my wallpaper then I turned the tablet off and back on but I changed back to my original wallpaper
That is strange. I would retry and see if it sticks. I haven't tried it on the newer tablets.

Hello, I have an Amazon fire kindle tablet. When I shut my tablet of there is a lock screen with an ad on it with alexa. Do ypu habe any idea how to change my lockscreen? It is NOT the same as my home screen. I don't know if it has changed but I know this was 2020 and now its 2024 but can you help? Thank you for your time. ☺️
You will need to remove your lock screen ads. I don't have a video on it but you can pay Amazon to remove them or search for other free ways.

Hummm so you are saying the lock screen wallpaper will not change at all? May restart your tablet and see if there are any improvements.
did you manage to get the flippin lightbulbs off? it was fine for me till i registered the device to my amazon account, now even after de-register, im stuck with the bulbs
How did you remove the ads? There is a method that no longer works long term and results in the light bulbs.

This doesn't work on my 11th generation amazon fire tablet, I am stuck with a generic Amazon screen :( Was that an issue you encountered out of the box?

I had to take my videos down but you can contact Amazon and get them removed. They may do it for free or you may have to pay $15.

So the first time I tried this, I was able to have a different home screen and lock screen image. Now, every time I do it, it automatically switches the lockscreen to the same image I set with the ES File Explorer. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
One will do both screens and another will do one. Make sure you do the one last.

I think you have to do one at a time basically they were both change when you do one but then he change the other one back.

This doesn't work anymore. I followed everything step by step multiple times but each time I finish, the outside wall paper and my bg are the same as whatever picture I saved in the ES file app

You mean you have no wallpaper to choose from? The custom ones are the images in your Amazon Photos.

All you have to do to take away the ads is go to setting apps and notifications then click home screen and turm of recommendations
Unfortunately that will not remove the Lock Screen ads. Only the recommendations after unlocking.

How do u get CZcams?
The easiest way Is to download the Google play store. Check out my other videos on how to do that. Also if you have a computer you can easily install CZcams without ads. Check out my other videos on that also.

Did you change the look of your device to android? If so all you need to do is press and hold on your home screen and you will get the wallpaper options.

If you disabled any parts of the Amazon fire tablet with the fire toolbox you may have to re-enable some items to get back functionality of the lock screen options.

@@SimplySmart123 ummm so there was a microsoft launcher and i tried to remove it and now it just says "starting your fire" when ever i go to the home screen is there a fix for this?
Sounds like your tablet had a custom launcher installed and you removed it. Now without the default launcher, it can't start properly. I would suggest a factory reset.

I used your ad removal video and it got rid of the ads but i am unable to change my lockscreen wallpaper. I can change my homescreen wallpaper just fine, but my lockscreen is a stock image of a bunch of lightbulbs
I know the issue. This is an older method to remove the ads and in a few hours they will return. Check out this video to remove them for good and have the freedom of changing wallpapers.

Do you know how to change the lock screen for a kids profile? When it comes up, the picture is not full screen, and leaves a large section of the screen black. It looks very unfinished. I can't seem to find a way to change that for the kids' profile.
Kids' profiles are limited. Can you change the picture at all?
@@SimplySmart123 There is no spot to change wallpaper or anything in the settings for the kids' profile. It just shows the rectangle picture that doesn't cover the whole screen. The picture changes to different pictures out of the 3 that are supposedly kids photos, but I'm not sure why it doesn't cover the whole screen.

I used to have a video on that, but CZcams got very strict and almost lost my channel because of my fun content.
The easiest way it to just pay Amazon 15$. Then you are good for life. Many of the other methods will require to be redone after each update. If you have a computer you can use the Fire Toolbox program for windows.

I lost my lock screen image because of a white screen that said something about setting up and registering my tablet (which I did when I first got it) so I cancelled it out. Afterwards I realized that I had lost my lock screen image so I tried to fix it since I already have ES Image Browser from the first time I did this, I also followed your step-by-step instructions. Nope, not working.
