So, please respect Taiwanese call our language as "Taiwanese", just like we have to respect Swedish call their language "Swedish".
This song have both English and Taiwanese titles and lyrics. This music video is the Taiwanese version and the lyrics are in Taiwanese. Taiwanese could be written in both Kanji (Chinese characters) or Romaji.
"Taiwan" is a name transformed from Tayoun(大員) which a term from 西拉雅族, the biggest Aboriginal tribe in Taiwan 500 years ago, to call their land. So, "Taiwan" is actually an aboriginal name. The real problem is "R.O.C." which is so called "the official name of Taiwan", and it's definitely not a native name, that's our problem needs to be solved.

this band is so good, they create good music, put on great live shows and have taught me a bit about Taiwanese history, and i especially love the fact that the vocals are in Taiwanese, just adds a bit of an edge
yes, you get it now. If there are 3 guys, one can only speak Taiwanese, the other one can only speak Cantonese, and another one can only speak Mandarin, they can't understand each other's languages at all. We have tried something like that in Hong Kong one time, and at last we decided to speak in English.
It took me a while to learn that they do this in two different languages. I like both versions, and I want to listen to some of their other albums in Taiwanese as well. Seriously, they still sound bad ass in either language.
The drummer is a badass.

if you can read Mandarin, please google 林媽利's research, and you will understand that NOW Taiwanese are mixed aboriginal and sino. Lot's of people thought their ancestors are from China, but then realize that it's just their ancestors been sino-lized and brainwashed by the governments. Go to blood test, it won't lie.
but of course, it doesn't mean that you need to be a mixed aboriginal to have different civil right. It's just finding each person's roots.

"Taiwan" and "Tayoun" are how the europeans spell with their own alphabets for the name that 西拉雅族 called their land. So, both of them are the words came from westerners but based on Taiwanese aboriginal language.
So many people comment only about Doris. Let's not forget everyone in this band is AWESOME!

First, the name 西拉雅族 called this land sounds like Taiwan or Tayoun. So, when the westerners came several hundreds years ago, they spelled that name "Taiwan" or "Tayoun". And then later when Han Chinese came, they wrote Taiwan as 台灣。

閃靈真是可以做為台灣樂團的指標了, 美術製作, 錄音, 編曲, 服裝, 攝影. 小黑在這首歌裡面寫的吉他 Riff 還是很有死鞭或旋死的感覺, 相當熱血. 個人還是比較喜歡Freddy的黑腔, 死腔希望可以壓低一點. 還有. DORIS 好正 !
