Mount Hood Railroad via "Speeder" (Motorcar), 42-miles, 1,500' elev gain. [Hood River, Oregon]

This timelapse video is of the Pacific Railcar Operators (PRO) Speeder/Motorcar excursion on the Mount Hood Railroad on May 21, 2024. The excursion went the full 21-miles each way from Hood River to Parkdale, Oregon. The video is of the return trip to Hood River. The video goes slower on the steep 3.5% grades around the switchback. This is the only US railroad hauling freight with a switchback. PRO is a division of NARCOA.
