Just don't understand why this album or song was not as popular as it should have been. Still listening to this in 2021.

Amazing Album.
2024. With their legacy this is still one of my favorites.
My favorite Cult album. Wish it got more praise.
I thought this was the coolest shit back in 94. Still looks / sounds great.
The Cult is always after emotional response and emotional content. When they hit upon it, it’s always an ahhhhh!!! That’s what I’ve been needing and missing right now in life.
Every song on this CD was just great to me. Very underrated !
Cassette
I agree.
I listened the shit out of this in 1994 and it still amazes me today......very little filler on this spectacular album.
It took a few listens for me but it grew on me. This IS one of my favourite tracks though.
Vinyl release would be a treat :-)
THE CULT are always pure magic. They hit that perfect spot with all they do. IANS VOICE in this album is spitvon and Fantastic. The enrgy, soul, and rock is there with very insightful lyrics and meanings from Ian. Billy hits hard on this album. These guys never disappoint
The CULT can be likened to one of the 7 wonders of the world. SERIOUSLY TALENTED. Their music takes me back to some of the happiest days of my youth.... They put ALL of hard rock to shame....
❤
this CD is a masterpiece!!
The Cult was really something else... It wasn't heavy metal, it wasn't punk, it wasn't pop.. It was Cult.
It’s all Alternative.
It was Great - that's for sure
Nailed it!! \m/
Was??they still are!! On a World tour now and they are phenomenal! Still so much energy and Ian's voice has lost nothing
Still is
You have no idea how addicted I am to this song. I can't stop listening. I'm freaking out.
musically it is EUPHORIC...one of my personal faves...
special song for me - filmed where i grew up in the 1980s and 90s - Kings Cross London before the developers got hold of it and put in Paul Smith shops and luxury apartments. Tough neighbourhood - and this captures the grime and ambience of the place brilliantly.
The Cult has oceans of depth.
This album was awesome, very good lyrics.
Yep and electric ocean one of the best!
The Cult is one of those bands that took rock n roll to a whole other level
This song is different (and so is Ian's hairstyle) from what Cult used to play, but still prefect. It is one of the few bands that knew how to rock in the 80's
And now! On a world tour and loaded! Ian grew his hair again,a mound of it,incredible!
I can't believe I missed this record. I loved early Cult and their Rock era. Saw them in concert multiple times. I even followed them a little when he was doing the Doors covers but I didn't realize they released another record. Haven't heard all of it yet but I like it so far.
Love The Cult and this is another one of their great rock tunes. The first time I saw them was in Winnipeg in 1985 when Guns & Roses opened up for them. Never missed a show after that... one of my all time favorites and so under-rated!! They were amazing with Ian's stage presence and Patrick's guitar. Favorite band!!!
Wow
And this under the radar album is one of their best.
I'm only now going through The Cult's back catalogue. All I have to say is how many times is this hand going to reinvent themselves. So far I am digging every incarnation of this band.
I don't think it's really reinventing because they always remain easily recognizable as The Cult and keep elements of all previous directions. Maybe just exploring.
The Cult influenced most of the American Seattle scene. In Pearl Jam's first album, they credit The Cult for one of their influences. Metallica said all during the Masters of Puppet tour, they listened to Love album constantly. They influenced so many other great bands and never really got the true attention they deserved. Now I sound like a 16 year old music snob. Oh well, one of my favorite bands. Never get old
@@wesrogers7630 they were an underground punk band in early eighties England. Southern death cult, death cult and finally the cult.
@@leeetchells609 Southern Death Cult was actually a completely different band, which featured only Astbury from later Cult periods. The rest of the group formed "Getting the Fear" with Bee, before Barry and Bee split to found the excellent "Into a Circle". I take your point about the connections, though. It's kind of a shame that The Cult had so many identity crises, which seemed to depend on Astbury and Duffy's mood at any given time and who they were hanging around with. My personal favourite period are the years from "Death Cult" to "Love". However, this song is still class!
Ian would call it continually "evolving"!
Best Cult album. Highly underrated
That snare is legendary!
Just as brilliant now as when it came out.
This is a masterpiece….just amazing!
What a song, absolutely amazing.
The Cult had many faces but you can't mistake Ian Atsbury vocals for anything but The Cult
I loooove this song
This just goes to show just how versatile The Cult are. If you track their development from the unlisenable first album, up to their latest. It shows what amazing musicians they are.
The Cult were, are, and will remain musically immense for the rest of their lives. Many thanks to them.
Not to overstate the obvious- but this song rocks 🤘
I love this album! Saw them @ the Sunshine Theatre in Albuquerque , NM on this tour, February of 1995. Awesome barebones show that rocked the new songs.
According to Duffy their upcoming album will be Channeling The Cult '94 and Dreamtime/Love eras of style. They can never be stopped! Heal it now!
Ian no longer has the pipes for that.
One of the best albums ever! Comparable to Faith No More's Angel Dust. The Cult is of the best rock bands ever? Period.
IMHO, I cant say one of the best ever, but totally, without a doubt, the most underrated rock band
Nothing will ever be comparable to Angel Dust....Nothing notta.
I like this album the most from the Cult. The sound and songs differ
Simply The Best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good comparison
maybe my fav album....wait....maybe i love the whole catalogue!
One of the very best Wave of the 80's band!! Loved them eversince... The voice? Oh yeah u can never go wrong!!!
Whenever people talk about The Cult they seem to focus on Ian….. yes I love his voice and swagger BUT for me Billy Duffy is a ROCK GOD and his guitar riffs are genius and he is what makes The Cult the coolest rock band EVER
Nice to see one of the best bass players of the UK in this clip: Craig Adams of The Mission UK.
He's also in The Alarm, Theatre Of Hate, and Spear of Destiny. The man
really gets around. And he's an amazing bassist!
@@itwasntmeboningbivvy181 His part is perfect for this song, that's for sure!
@@milesoneal3939 His bass work on this album is awesome... even better was that Bob Rock recognized it and made sure it was up in the mix
@@itwasntmeboningbivvy181 Don't forget that he was in The Sisters of Mercy from 1982 to 1985, as well!
Big love for The Cult!
I don't recognize them this style of music, especially Ian his magnificient hair (Fr)
My favorite Cult release. They had plenty of angst to be profound in the 90s.
In my top 3 Cult songs!!
I didn't realise there was a video for this track. Love this track...it's a corker!.
I LOVE THIS KIND OF MUSIC SOOOOOO MUCH. IT MAKES ME FEEL AMAZING!!!!!THANK YOU SO MUCH THE CULT❤❤❤❤❤❤
It isn't very common to sound different and have an own style, but when ever I listen The Cult and whatever song, I never mix them to any other band. It's impossible...
Hmmm.....The Cult has been known to change it up. They did that at least three times in the 80s and 90s
@@FreeMTrider That's why I said 'whatever song'( or album ) and different from others. Does this help you?
Marko Mäkelä oh that is very helpful.
@@FreeMTrider Anytime...
My old lead singer got tired of me bitching about his slow wannabe Tool basslines so he wrote a fat straight rocker and said "here I wrote you a cult song, are you happy now?"
Hard Rock with a strong nod to 70's bands like Free + others. I love working out to the Cult!
Ian looked good in long or short hair. Beautiful man.
Nobody talking about the video? I think it's very good indeed.
Most underrated album they made....
Cuz so many people hated it initially, much like ceremony it took a few years for people to dig on it. Still waiting however for everyone to show some love to Def Leppard's 90s style bomb Slang, apparently I'm alone on that still
The best artistic and really poetic perfect!
Dude, Slang is fire! Blood Runs Cold is a killer example off that album.
A True Rock Master Piece !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amo este tema que las guitarras nunca dejen de sonar!!!!!!!!!!!!
A True Rock Master Piece !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They were dipping their toe into grunge with the Nirvana Teen Spirit drum beat and the video has elements of Sound Garden Black Hole Sun (ketchup bottle/lipstick). Great album I just picked up on vinyl re-release. Was only on CD before.
Bob Rock understood this band like no other producer they ever worked with. Elite Art from The Cult.
Love the sound of the guitar
The Cult are the best band that ever graced the earth Period ! Their flavour is just awsome..
Straight up kick ass Rock n Roll.
for me that i followed the evolution of this english band, i think it is the best english band i have ever heard, i also like american bands, faith no more, Alice in chains, etc, there are many, but cult is only no band is like cult
Very true my friend! You can't never get mistaken by what band this is no matter what song they perform. All their sound from the vocals of Ian and guitars by Billy Duffy are very distinctive. No other band so far from this planet has ever sounded like them. They were unique.
One of the best rock bands ever👍❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Best soundtrack in the 90s.
Unbeliveble music
Good hair day or what..vocals r still mint .gotta lot of love for the cult
The cult best album
True !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really GREATLY💁🎶Yehhhh, IAN💥❤️
2022...January,3rd!! Still Alive and Listening !!!!
wow yeah
I hear the riff lifted from The Manor Sessions scrapped version Wild Flower in this
♥ Great !!
Good song .. dancing
The 'double goat' album was great. I bit more straight forward rock but still.
The Cult Does the Dandy Warhols
She's coming down, next stop, the horrors. Been there!
Yeah and she seems to think a gallon of zinfandel at 7 am after being up all night will bring he down "nicely" ... Crazy bitches. Been there too.
Full English and cuppa tea
que buenos y que poco reconocidos!!!...
Puro hard rock del bueno
The problem is they never play songs from this album live. 2 shows over the last 10 in Dallas and they play everthing but this. Unless im wrong. I did see this album played at the Bomb Factory in Dallas. Boom im oldisher.
what happened to the high volume version of this video on youtube? It sucks so low on this one.
The Cult is very proficient at hypnotizing the listener
Banger
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
After Dreamtime and Love, this is the best album from Cult.
Really cool!
Electric rocks
Lazy Titan ..... Electric is ALWAYS the right answer.
Bili Piton Electric and Sonic Temple for me Bili
it's a difficult album to get into Bili. I like Beyond good and evil better , but yeah Love is their best.
This was The Cult's big comeback for me. Never could get into Electric, Sonic Temple or Ceremony.
The Cult going Achtung Baby.
Excelente.album🐶
Sometimes i feel like hearing to u2 when i listen to this band
Great alt band.
Must admit, I didn't recognise Ian Astbury until he started singing there
Still is!
Saludos
Go Go! :)
Gurus! Aaaayyyyy!!
Cult goes new wave.
Sin duda el mejor disco de ellos
❤
