Man look. Home Affairs is a nightmare for us as South Africans. I can only imagine your frustration as someone coming from a country like the US with such a crazy efficient culture 🙆🏾♀️. Believe it or not, they have actually improved a lot in terms of their systems & customer service. As bad as they are, they used to be a lot worse. Hopefully second time is a charm. Crossing fingers for you guys.
Yeah, I was at VSF yesterday for collection, it's called when you pick up. 3 hrs waiting outside alone. Yeah it's a lot.

Good advice but with everything that I have bought there,I have never met the seller in person, I always insist on shipping the product to me, usually via PEP. I have been lucky coz I haven't been scammed

We are applying for permanent residency - when you can apply depends on the type of visa you are on

I applied for Permanent Residency 1 month after I got Temporary Residency. It took 6 ½ years to get it.
