Excellent video and explanation. This is exactly what I needed for wireless speakers for my old Marantz TA60/71. Thank you for posting and sharing your knowledge.
Just a follow up on my Miccus RTX Pro. It continues to work fine. My JBL Char3 doesn’t work as well as the cheap $5 speakers I have from Five Below. Amazing the more expensive speaker has more issues. I still love the Miccus.
Thank you, this one is a very helpful video :) by the way, I see the M6 deck you were talking about, this weekend, a video is coming of the same SA-404 receiver you have :)
Hey, nice video. I just hooked up an Optimus stereo receiver that has been in a box for 21 years. Still works good. Radio stations with a usable signal are few and undesirable (I live kinda rural). So I'd like to be able to hook my device remotely to the receiver. I gotta get me one of those Bluetooth tx/rx units. I got a streaming service that knows what I like. Thx for the vid.
I want to use wired speakers plus the bluetooth speaker elsewhere..obvu-[iouslt any one canb use a headphoine out but that disconnecvts the proper speakers!!
If you can adjust the volume on whatever device you are transmitting to then try a Tape Out. That way your speakers from the Amp/Receiver will still work. Also, if your Receiver has a Pre out and in loop you could grab signal from there.
I have a receiver that has no outputs such as RCA type. I want to not stop the amp from producing sound to my surround sound speakers but would also like to have a Bluetooth transmitter connected so I can use my wireless headphone and other people can listen to the TV through the regular speaker system. The TV gets everything through HDMI ARC cable. I am trying to find an adapter to reduce the speaker output to proper input voltage for a Bluetooth transmitter with RCA inputs.
thanks and sorry in advance for all the questions but i am very interested in playing music from my older shelf system to a nice bluetooth speaker like a harmon kardon aura speaker ... so it seems the miccus would work well as a transmitter, but can u clarify something for me? when u use the miccus as a receiver, the music from your cell phone is playing through the hard wired stereo speakers instead of the bluetooth jbl speaker, correct? if so then is the sound quality better or worse than going directly from cell phone to jbl via bluetooth? if so, then what if any is the benefit of streaming music from the phone to the old stereo if u already have a wireless speaker like the jbl?
What I would like info on is connecting a Bluetooth transmitter to the vintage "whatever" (cassette deck, record player, etc) and then transmit to my PC, tablet, phone. I tried a Bluetooth dongle, But it will only transmit to a speaker/headset,.. It won't TX to a device. Do you know of something that will TX from Vintage device to PC ?
I have an old school receiver connected to a Fluance record player that I want to play through my JBL FLip 5. This was very helpful toward that end - thank you! However for some reason I can't get my JBL flip to pair with the Miccus! All my other bluetooth devices have bluetooth disabled. Any other thoughts or tips? Miccus customer service phone number is defunct.
I have a Miccus RTX 2.0 audio transceiver. I cannot get it to connect to pair with my JBL Flip 5. Have used the recommended adapter for my headphone input on my receiver, which I did test to make sure there was power there and have plugged everything in correctly. Trying to pair with a JBL flip 5 to no avail. ???
Question please Once the transmitter is plugged into headphone jack, does that mean you cant listen to your home stereo speakers at the same time as the blue tooth speakers now. So its one or the other not both sets of speakers at the same time?
Correct. If you want both at the same time then plug the BT device into a TAPE OUT. Problem is latency, that can be bad and it will drive you nuts. IMHO.
If your BT transmitter will transmit to two receivers like 2 headphones. Usually that type of transmitter is for watching TV and will have or marketed as a LL ( low latency) device. Transmitting to two headphones is no big deal as each listener will not hear the slight latency between both headphones. However using two speakers you will hear the latency between the two speakers. Long story short...... you could try two speakers, but depending how the speakers "play" with the transmitter the delay is super annoying. Note that this may be a trial and error situation as not all BT devices play nice whit each other. Cheers
I have a JVC Bazooka style boom box. I don't have the convenience of just getting rca jacks. Also, none of my phones (which is what I want to transmit from) have an earphone jack. Anyone know a way to make the JVC accept a Bluetooth transmission?
I like the PRO better than the swivel jack, while that is not a bad device, new Home Pro is better. BT 5.0, Optical in/out, and IMO more output on the analog out.
So verry helpfull thank you verry much, this needs more subs. Here is my question. i have a bluetooth turntable, is it theoretically possible to connect it to a bluetooth Amplifier that is connected with bluetooth speakers ?
You can transmit from the TT to your receiver, I doubt your receiver (stereo) can transmit to BT speakers. If your BT speakers have a volume control then you could go from the TT to the speakers and use the volume control on the speakers, kind of a PITA but it would work.
Answer to your question, yes you can. And works well. Here is your answer on video. Cheers and thanks for watching. czcams.com/video/sRY8b6fxeI0/video.html
The RTX PRO is not perfect as most ALL two in ones have their faults. The RTX is one of the best that I have tested up to date. Understand my funds do not allow me to test every device on the market, and I have a few brands that I stay away from. I will say however I have not had any issues with mine and I still use it on my TV, it is a very flexible device. IMHO Cheers
From a vintage receiver/amp, is there a way to wireless (bluetooth) transmit from the left/right speaker outputs to vintage (not powered) speakers left/right inputs?
Or I guess go from the tape 1 or tape 2 outputs to a transmitter, which in turn would connect to a wireless receiver connected to the vintage speakers somehow?
I've connected one of these to my avr system and play music from my phone to the avr's speakers via Bluetooth but it doesn't play any sound at all from my Bluetooth tv when I connect it via Bluetooth. Is the tv Bluetooth different to a phones Bluetooth? I'm sooo confused! I thought this product would connect any tBluetooth device to it.
Hi- just watched your video on making home stereo into a bluetooth transmitter or receiver - VERY HELPFUL. However is there a way to do that and while listening to the stereo speakers, also tap into a bluetooth speaker while outside - at the same time?
Yes, if your receiver has RCA out or a RCA loop. You may be able to use a tape out but volume will not be adjustable from the tuner. If you have a location where you will hear both indoor/outdoor speakers at the same time you will notice some or a lot of latency. Latency will depend on your BT transmitter. Try to get a low latency transmitter to "help" reduce latency. I have done this with my Marantz receiver transmitting to my SML amp and speakers out on the patio. Cheers
I have a bluetooth adapter plugged into the Aux jack of the stereo. Music comes from my iphone. I am able to connect both this adapter and also my bluetooth speaker on my phone bluetooth but only 1 plays. As soon as I disconnect the the other, the other speaker plays. I'm trying to accomplish an indoor sound and the same music on my patio - at the same time. Hope this makes sense
Thanks "23" -- so I am able to get my bluetooth adapter (plugged into the Aux on my stereo with wired speakers) and my Sony bluetooth speaker both connected to my iphone 11 bluetooth. But once I play a song only 1 will device will play and it stops the other. Any way around this?
How can I use the Miccus Home RTX Pro (or any longrange Bluetooth transmitter-receiver) to make it so I can hear both my Bluetooth speaker and my wired speakers at the same time? I've read about using headphone jack splitters but, I am just too confused now. I want this setup, but I want to hear my wired speakers at the same time. Any ideas?
In most every situation I have used wired and wireless together I had problems with latency. (time delay between the two,) it gives off an annoying echo effect so i don;t do that. It is either one or the other. Cheers
Help: I plugged in the RTX Pro and connected my Sony Bluetooth headphones. The headphones said they are paired but I get no sound on them. Any idea what to do now
The audio is not CD quality, but close. The low end BT receivers (lower than 5.0) are okay, it still sounds better than plugging the phone into a stereo. Most C Phones have a terrible DAC. Cheers
You'll blow up that JBL flip 5 with that stereo with Bluetooth transmitting audio from the stereo itself and then you turn it up all the way you're going to blow your JBL
No. The JBL will amplify the sound using its own built in amplifier. The Signal coming from the stereo is low level RCA or AUX going into the Bluetooth device, the BT device sends audio via a radio signal to the JBLs BT receiver, that low level signal goes to the JBLs amplifier thus sending that audio information to the speakers. There is no way to over amplify the JBLs drivers (speakers) as the JBLs amplifier is very small output wise, the drivers are designed to take the power of that amplifier. Cheers
I need help connecting my audio sound mixer (for live sound mixing) to a pair of powered speakers through Bluetooth. Is there a standard Bluetooth setup that is able to transmit each channel separately to its speaker, assuming that I connect the mixer's earphone stereo output to the Bluetooth transmitter?
All drivers are good, at some point I may swap out the 3mfd electrolytic caps for some mylars. not sure that would have much of an affect on paper cone tweets:)
You need a stereo receiver to power the speakers, then BT into the receiver. Like I did in this video. The receiver could be a modern AV receiver or an old school unit like mine. I much prefer old 70s receivers as they sound so much better ( more dynamic and rich) Cheers.

The problem with using the headphone jack on this receiver is that it cuts off all the speakers
And it doesn’t look great if it’s always going to be hooked up
Well explained wonderful,thanks
Nice👍

How does this one compare to the other Miccus Swivel RTX version? Is the sound quality different or just the range?

@@breakerbroke23 thx for your answer !
Does the bluetooth speaker autmatically pair to the reciever?
Some do, most do not.
Can you keep it hooked up as transmitter and as a receiver at the same time and then switch the transceiver between modes as needed?

You may have to go into your TVs sound settings and make adjustments. Look in your manual.
