LOTS of car chases and loads of fighting.....what a wild ride!! Tons of action and fun!! Thanks a LOT for this!
Uh
Thank you for uploading the entire serial. My father had Alan Barbour's books about the movie serials in the 1970s. Dad made the serials sound exciting to us and told us he saw the serials at the movies in the late 1940s and on TV in the 1950s. Dad used to let us stay up at night to watch "The Spy Smasher" serial and "The Purple Monster Strikes" on TV . These serials were compressed into a movie and shown late at night on Channel 11 , KTTV , Los Angeles and Channel 13, KCOP , Los Angeles. I still have a couple of those Alan Barbour books and about four video cassettes about the serials that Dad bought in the late 1980s. I watched a lot of the old time serials on CZcams and think about Dad. I wish he was still alive to watch his beloved " chapters."
Not bad looking film for being 82 years old. 1939-2021.
An African American guy named " Snowflake" ....now I've seen every thing.
🥰Thank you .👍Good serial .😃Nice to see favorite players in the cast , Herman Brix , Charles Middleton , Earle Hodgins and George Chesebro . 🥰👍Dec . 5 , 2023
One of the best serials I've ever seen! Thanks!
I love old marathons like these
This was the best serial ever produced.
No one could beat Republic when it came to action.and stunts
Thanks for uploading this. It brought back a lot of good memories. My grampa used to put this on when I was 4 or 5 years old. I used to love it.
I like Charles Middleton as the bad guy,or known as Ming the merciless from Flash Gordon 💫🪐🚀
Awwww Sammy💕🕊
Excellent Serial!
Thank You Cult for sharing!
Wow! That a great serial! Tons of action and great stunts! That tunnel scene was way ahead of its time! Thanks for posting!
The Daredevils! One of my absolute favorites. Thanks CCC ❤️🍻
The cliffhangers in these old serials are absolutely bonkers! Hahaha
Everyone in these movies is an expert fist fighter.😂
Edge of your seat excitement from start to finish. I liked it.
This was quite good. As a lover of old movies the only thing this really needed was more Carole Landis.
Republic really got a lot out of that explosion in the background at 0:59. I don't know how many films I've seen that clip in. At least as early as 1935 in the movie "Ladies Crave Excitement".
Thanks for this great movie
Sounds like a great film! Load up with goodies for this one, it's 3 1/2 hours of fun and enjoyment.
My place isn't big enough for 3.5 hours worth of goodies but I'll manage
I love these old serials. There's nothing like them today. I've never seen this. It's as good as Flash or Buck Roger's. They're action-packed and so much fun.
No real story line..alot of fighting
This is going to be fun so let's get the snacks and goodies ready for this movie marathon no need to dress formally!!!
That guy single handedly lifted the back wheel of that getaway car. ( ?????)
I remember turning 10 and watching this on tv.
If anyone is joining in the next 10++ minutes, the live stream film is just starting!!! Activate the live chat or superchat, and join us! If you see this after the premiere has concluded, you can still read the comments in time with the movie, but unfortunately, you cannot contribute. Hope you enjoying the show… & for the love of cinema & TV… say it with your thumbs👍 or a super sticker 😉
A great TV SERIAL.
Emperor Ming escapes from prison, moves from Universal to Republic and returns to menace everyone! Charles Middleton, without make-up. And the lovely Carole Landis, too.
When America was still great.
This should be cooler than ever. Im keeping my usual clothes on!! But if i cant sit through it all, if i´m getting sleepy, i´ll try to watch the serial tomorrow if neccessary.
This is Action Packed!
I love Republic Pictures. Turn your brain off fun stuff and great to be lost in.
One of the best serials by Republic Pictures. Also like this serial, the music for many of their serials is also a standout. Universal and Columbia serials don't come close to Republic serials. Those serials seem slow compared to the fast pace style of Republic. I like Flash Gordon at Universal and Batman at Columbia but if ( Superman also) they were made at Republic, they would have been even better.
Looks good
Thank
This tunnel has to go from San Pedro, Long Beach, Newport Beach or Dana Point to get to (what I imagine is) Santa Catalina Island. Why is another question. This is one of the absolute best serials of the era and is an excellent print. A great plot....a great cast....and a great contribution....many thanks!
Thankfully roles like that played by Fred "Snowflake" Toones are a thing of the past. The cruel way he's treated detracts from an otherwise fun serial. Besides appearing in similar roles in many films of the '30's and '40's Toones actually ran the shoeshine stand at Republic Studios.
🤸 awesome thanks 🏄
Republic serial are the best

This is about the fifth wrench thrown at a daredevil... they should play dodgeball.
Ooooo! Another serial with Charles Middleton (Ming the Merciless of Flash Gordon, Zaroff of "The Miracle Rider")!
Bruce Bennett (Tiny Dawson) portrayed Dr. Eric Lorimer in "The Alligator People" and appeared in at least two films with Humphrey Bogart ("The Treasure of the Sierra Madre" and "Sahara")
Carole Landis appeared in "Topper Returns" (1941) and "One Million B.C." (1940) and was one of the "Four Jills In A Jeep" (1944). Sadly, she died from a drug overdose in 1948 at 29. =(
James Anthony pp
"Sexy Rexy" Harrison drove her to suicide.
Gene , the head daredevil sounds just like John Payne!!
I jut subscribed and there’s a new video
Cool ✌️
Lucky you! =)
U jeee Top!
turn up volume
This is good stuff. Well down. Very lively. Hey, I'm back, and after three days, I watched it all. It was big fun, and there's a bit of comedy right at the end to send you off with a smile. It's not politically correct at all, but still cute. Oh. And very impressive fire stunts. The real stuff.
I dread dat moment under the E,River or To Bkln by any train😎🥴🥴i cross my fingers and my Eyes😎now I can't write or See straight🤣😂
A chamelion,i lov dis one master of Disguise😂
The backgound music is front the Flash Gordon series--- strange because Charles Middleton was Ming the Merciless in those Flash serials!
A LOT of music in this show.
Cool Kodak magical everyone
Herman Brix aka Bruce Bennett was Tarzan in several movies in the 30's.
We all know Tuffie was the real Red Circle. He tipped off Blanch.
I've seen 39-0-13 before , he's Flash's friend , Ming the merciful
That's Ming, the Merciless , he'd. Laugh at that other Nick name. LOL.
Ming and this Daredevil one. Charles Middleton is the best serial villain of all time.
I didn't know Gamma rays were harmless (Ch. 5)
THIS WAS FUN.....FISTACUFFS THRILLS AND SPILLS 😎 GET THE 🥤🌭🍿
Your Jim Kelly thumbnail from the 1973 movie , "Enter The Dragon" is really cool. "Hong Kong"?! "He's not going to Hong Kong"!! Mr. Williams: "Haiiiiii yaaaaaaaaa!"
This is a bit of a switch, usually the guys all wear hats and never a one loses his hat when fighting. In this serial, you can tell the good guys from the bad guys because the good guys DON'T wear hats.
I am into the 9th or 10th episode and just realized: EXTREMELY little gun play or car crashes/explosions in this serial.
Love all the serials with secret rooms, sliding panels, concealed hideouts.
But a lot of fire. How about how the fights get better as the series goes on. Even some stunt moves near the end...that flip...
I'm sorry , I didn't mean to steal your thunder. I said the same thing about people keeping their hats on during a fight scene. I should have scrolled down and read the comments before I posted. I'm just an old movie buff.😳
The stars of this were accomplished athletes and stunt performers. Dave Sharp was a champion gymnast, who became one of the top stuntmen in the business, including doing leaping and gymnastic stunts in The Adv of Captain Marvel (the real one).
Though Sharpe had to be doubled, for some things, as he was a star player in this.
You can always tell who the bad guy is gonna be because he's the one with the mean look on his face, lol.
Would Spanish subtitles be possible for the movies?
🍿🍿🍿 Here is a list of movies now available with subtitles in 中文, Dansk, Deutsche, Español, Française, Italiano, 日本語, Nederlandse, Português, Pусский, Svenska.

just couldnt resist, these are the dumbest heros i have ever seen. the lack of awareness is mind boggling
Every episode everyone gets 7 bells knocked out of them but no-one ever gets hurt or even bruised, lol
Most other serials that I have seen show folks jumping from cars at the last second before the car goes over a cliff. Not only do folks never get injured doing that, it doesn't even seem to get their clothes dirty...much less cause any clothing to tear. Apparently, clothes and people were very rugged before WW II ?
@@howardkerr8174 In the Republic Serials no one ever loses their hat during a fight. It was stuntmen standing in for the actors , lol!
@@howardkerr8174 One of the Daredevils can even slide down an oil pipe at a refinery and not even mark his white suit!
Please. You have legendes in portuguese?
That looks like Louis Lane on clark Kent supermen Gorge Reeves tv show series episodes and masked faces like tv shows series episodes missions impossible and movies
Did 39013 exist?
1:10:22 puffing a cancer stick. Unlikely in a facility like that!
Why is this movie serial here labelled a "TV serial"? Commercial broadcast television didn't even exist when this was made in 1939. It was shown in movie theatres. Serials were designed to bring patrons back to the theatres on a regular basis... that's what the "cliffhangers" in the episodes were for. Some of these serials were shown on television more than a decade later, because they were cheap to acquire, but they were not made for television.

As Scott would say, “Why so elaborate? Just shoot them in the head! Done!”
Why does the fake Granville speak in the real Granville’s voice even when he is talking to the real Granville?
Judith Miller he said to the real Granville that he would never slip up using his own voice when in the mask.
Puffin Vapor Guess I missed that.
Joan Crawford husband in Mildred Pierce.
I wish you wouldn’t stamp your own logo in the corner. It really spoils the presentation.
I wish you wouldn’t complain about a tiny logo in the corner. It really doesn't spoil the presentation.
I am looking at this on a tablet, I don't see any logo anywhere. Not the first time though that people see things in these films that I don't see.
Oops, now I see why I almost missed it: it's EXTREMELY inconspicuous and it pretty much disappears when you focus on the action.
I wish tv networks would be as inconspicuous with their on air network logos.
Hi Kamandi , I remember the series about the Teen boy living in a new earth after "The Great Disaster". It was Jack Kirby's DC Comics 1970's series about animals ruling the earth. ( I think Jack Kirby got his idea from the 1968 , movie "Planet Of The Apes.)
Hahaha, thanks for the heads-up, I've just binged on all twelve episodes and never noticed it, that's how annoying it was. Fussy bugger.
No video ioading
OMG....SNOWFLAKES CREDIT IN THE TITLES WAS ACTUALLY SNOWFLAKE....WONDER WHAT HIS REAL NAME WAS ?
IT SURE WAS A DIFFERENT TIME BACK THEN😖😮.......en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Toones
www.imdb.com/name/nm0867560/
I enjoyed the story until the Black servant showed up. Not every director of that era degraded people of color in their films. Unfortunately, even today, there are too many small minds in the world. Evidently in many main stream movies people of color often have two choices; be a racist’s fantasy stereotype or be invisible. Invisibility never looked so good.
OK. The story is good. But, whoever came up with the musical score should have their ears pulled off! Those repetitive vamps were so overused that it was almost impossible to watch. The first trumpeter should be given a gold medal for endurance. The rest of us need some therapy because listening to the same passages and chord progressions with the same orchestrations for so many times has to have some detrimental effect.
This could be the best serial ever made and musically scored but it has been completely RUINED by outrageous, ridiculous, unnecessary editing. William Lava's music that punctuates all chapter endings is delightful but it's all missed here. Maestro Lava is undoubtedly spinning in his grave. X%$# shame.
