  • My name is Melyssa and this is one of many videos that I hope will create a safe, fun, educational and collaborating environment where those with autoimmune disease or invisible illnesses can come and hang out. It is important to remember that though a hidden illness is tough, we are never alone! So let’s talk about all of that embarrassing stuff TOGETHER
Here are a few products I used in this video--nonaffiliated links:
    LYSOL Laundry Sanitizer

These are truly good strategies and I will be watching 2 or 3 times to get it down. I wish I could throw all the “onion wrappers” from counter to the floor but the assumption there is that I will have energy to then vacuum. I won’t. My illness allows me far less spoons in a day. I can clean the bathtub, sink & toilet then I’m finished FOR THE DAY. Next day I can clean the br floor and I could easily be finished for the day. I can do some laundry and that’s it for the day. Next day I may not be able to do anything. I would like to know about others whose lives/illness is like this.

This is amazing and will definitely help me. I always get burnt out and then feeling like I've got the flu 😭

If I didn’t have children and a full-time job it’d be so much easier. I push through work everyday and by the time I get home I crash hard. I can’t do anything. Weekends are when I try to get things done but I usually spend it sleeping because I’m still recovering from the week. It’s so depressing. I’m tempted to take my two weeks of vacation to rest and then try to slowly tackle the house that has literally fallen apart over the last two years of my CFS.

Being messy makes cleaning more time consuming. Thanks for the timer tips, I definitely going to use it tomorrow

lilli oh you are so right! I try, emphasis on try, to tidy up for twenty minutes every night to not make it seem like so much. I hope my tips help 💜

@@gutsofgloryandgold7374 I used to be very messy, but now I put in the right place straight away things that I have been using. No more shoes, clothes, empty cups and other stuff around the house. You need a lot of discipline and a boyfriend supertidy that gets mad when you leave your stuff around the house. It is so much easier to clean now

@@gutsofgloryandgold7374 I know the rule of not doing anything that you can't do 2 hours after. I used to clean too much and then I had a flare up, but now I am going to put a timer keeping in mind the 2 hours rules.

Bleach is a migraine trigger for lots of folks so there are other choices for me for counters but everything else is great advice!

Kendra's ASMR oh yay! I know that everyone has their favorite cleaning supplies so I only recommended the Lysol one, but I am glad the tidying and timer ideas helped! I want to be as quick and efficient so I can finish the job as soon as possible lol
