"Pressure cooker farting in the background" you killed me there 🤣 ☠️
🤣
I agree 😂🤣😂🤣!!!
What came after was even better haha
I worked with a Thai woman and she would always bring me in Thai food. This dish was always my favourite, so much so that I cook it at home for myself. She uses pork belly and it just melts in your mouth when it's slow cooked. She would also add carrots, I would have it with some bread instead of rice because I prefer it alot more soupy.
Massaman curry could be a whole channel
It's great seeing an Australian Cook on YT. Sending love from PNG.❤️
Thank you ❤️
I love your channel and the way how u cook food 😍😍 I need today for lunch spinach with eggs 😋
Thank you 🙏
Hands down a bangin' recipe! Cooked it the other night, even the 2 year old and 7 month old loved it. The butter chicken recipe was amazing (best butter chicken i have ever had), and the buttermilk chicken burgers with the milk buns #bussin
Yay I'm soooo🤤 excited to try this recipe😋Yum! Mr. Andy is so talented. Thanks again for the step by step.👍🏻
What I like most about this video (other than the food looks absolutely yum!) is that Andy is honest about the cooking process (i.e. slightly overcooking the beef). Texture is a key element for me in the overall experience, and when using pressure cooker it's very easy to under or overcook unless you use a cooker regularly. I always recommend slow cooking over a stove and regularly stirring (to scrape the caramelised bits at the bottom and edges). If time poor and using a cooker, I divide the cooking time down in to 30 minute breaks so that I can check up on the meat and when close to done, I can finish it off over a stove. Thanks Andy for a great recipe! :)
I just made a mistake making chopped beef/roast potatoes. I had too much stock, so halfway through I drained it out, and made a nice gravy while it finished.. forgot about it, overcooked it- but the gravy mixed in created a sirloin mashed potatoes
Your channel is criminally underated
You make some of the best food on this platform. Your content is awesome. ❤️
I love how the fly just dipped into the very last scene.
"What up guys!"
Really neat recipe, it send doable from a novice standpoint so I'll have to give this a try!

Awesome! I hope you will post more full recipe videos. 🙏🏼 I would love to also see your favorite dish to make and favorite fast weeknight meal(s). 🙂
Love what you do Andy. Keep it up mate.
Wow! That looks delicious! I love your channel! Thank you so much for all your videos, I enjoy watching them very much! Thank you for the recipe, I'm very happy you used pre-grounded spices because that is what I have in my pantry, it makes making the dish so much easier to do, it's good to know the curry turns out delicious using pre-grounded spices. I prefer medium grain rice over the traditional Jasmine rice, so this is the perfect curry for me!
Dang Chef Andy, You are killing me with these beautiful dishes .. I especially would like to try this one ..
❤❤From the wonderful country of the USA, just love you Andy, your recipes always make my mouth water!! Peace

Underrated Thai curry… hands down my favorite
I found some sauce for this at an Asian grocer in Melbourne. One of my favourite Thai meals. It came out pretty good .
Wow you worked in an Asian kitchen now I’m properly impressed

Looks soooooo yummy
Okay, I’m a line cook; I cook every day, whether it be at home or at work or both. All I think about is food pretty much. This curry is the tastiest damn thing I’ve made in months. So balanced and nuanced and warming and floral and delicious. Wow. Thank you for the recipe-though i made some mods like whisking in some peanut butter and upping the sugar and dry spices a bit to match my taste. I know what I’m gonna make for family meal next shift now !
@@thomasrichards3760 ok weirdo
Cheers chef!
My mother inlaw calls it galanga. Best curry indeed!😋
"Pressure cooker farted in the background... Or was that babe?"

Looks delicious, thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks ..that looks awesome
Thank you 🙏
My father used to make this for us with leftovers from a Sunday roast, using left over roast potatoes, chunks of pork shoulder and would add peanuts towards the end. Absolutely delicious and a great way to utilise leftovers!
my favourite curry
Make me a traditional Rendang mate. Love your work,
That looks crazy delicious, I hope Uncle Rodger doesn't come at you for not pounding your spices, awesome recipe Andy
Loving these winter dishes ❤ wile we are 100 degrees in the US!
That's okay. Save the recipe for Winter 😊
Looks good mate
I'm making this today
I love how you make some mistakes but explain it and it ends up being more relatable for us noobs.
Can't wait to meet this for the wifey! Thanks!
more video like this please!
Oh wowza, reminds me of how I prepare Molé auténtico Mexico. Thank you for sharing your ideas, and expertise. Where’s the cookbook?!?
Thank 🙏 cooking book coming soon hopefully!
I really enjoy this dishh with thinly sliced kaffir like leaves
I usually add chopped peanuts, a tbs or two of peanut butter. Many Thai massaman curries have this. Also garnish with cilantro, and chunks of avocado(less common but elevates textures) Chopped red pepper is also good for color and more veg.
What stage do you add the peanut butter?
@@SupremeMoFo usually right after adding fish sauce. You want the peanut butter to heat up a little and blend well with everything.
Made this, that curry paste can take a good 15-20 mins to cook out btw just a heads up. Awesome recipe too.
Love it. Gonna try and make me some this weekend. Cheers.
Thanks 🙏 let me know how you get on!
@@andy_cooks will do.
one of my favourite curries, I do like it with chicken thighs
As a thai, Massaman Is AMAZING
But Theirs Many Other better curry
I suggest you try fish liver curry Or Yellow Curry 😃
Yummmmy
Hi chef would you mind making some Cajun food? I'm from Louisiana and I would love to see you cook up an etoufee or jambalaya. Thanks Chef.
I like the long form videos.
Thank 🙏
I really want uncle Roger to review your food! Finally get you the uncle title!!!
Goot lort, I’m so hungry! How could you torture a person like this! Now… where to find this fresh lemon grass, tamarind, and whatever that root thingy was… Treasure hunt time🎉
🙌
Look for an Asian market in your area 😌
Some vegan / vegetarian recipes too pls! 😍
Sure!
Your a goodboy Andy
Chef Galangal 🥳
👍
Pressure cooker farted
Thanks for the recipe from Mauritania
Let's do it!
3:34 the best
Great one. Drop a toasted bread in to clean up the plate! 555
This is my favorite dish at my local Thai restaurant. They serve a version that is very similar, but has chicken instead of beef and adds avocado chunks to the potatoes for another textual component.
Avocado Ina curry? That sounds hideous. The only textural component that adds is mush. Thai people don’t use avocado, period. It sounds like your local is trying to be different but not really succeeding.
@@marcolearmont9880 i second that sorry OP
Can you do okonomiyaki please.
Also possible to leave out the sugars? Not adding any salt at all? Adding coconut paste instead of milk also okay? Looks Yum yum anyways!
Chef where are you from?
Just based on your accent and the brands youre using
Yum
We didn’t serve with rice too many carbs for me
The recipe was great
If no flank then what would you recommend?
Could you do a video for college students
I can almost hear Uncle Roger in the background roasting Andy as to why he did not use mortar and pestle to pound the dry spices.. 😏😏
What is the point of dry roasting the masala powder?
Lime leaves !!!
I need your help, I'm working in a italian restaurant and I just start to learn. Can you help me with some recipes? Thank you 🙏
uncle roger review please
Is beef actually authentic in Massaman Curry or can I use chicken or pork instead?
Selamlar TÜRKİYEDEN Cok Güzel Yemek tarifleri yapılışı İzliyorum ve Cok Beğeni yorum 🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷🙏🙏
My wife is Thai, and she said THANK YOU after I cooked your recipe. I didn't cook it as well as she can, obviously, but she appreciated my effort. Chicken though, she doesn't do beef. TEHO.
I always thought Massaman curry had peanuts in it, but it looks like they’re just a garnish. Do most places do that so I can ask for no nuts??
Watching this video two years in the future compared to his more recent videos has made me realize how much weight he has gained over the years.
We need a Uncle Roger reaction
