- I don't quite have the time to put out a super in-depth guide, but I hope this BUDGET teaching stream covers a lot of things for you, including how to solve Colosseum waves, gear set ups and any other questions you may have.

This is the BARE minimum I would recommend for mid level players trying to tackle the Colosseum. Yes, eventually in shitty gear you will learn it, but I think overall, my advice is spend that time grinding GP and spend 1/10th the time "learning" out of reach content with proper gear.
Doing this with Whip/Salad blade is the same as doing a first cape Inferno with ACB. Not ideal.

A useful thing to note is that the far edge tiles on the boss are the same as the middle, so if you know it’ll be mid dodge but there’s pools on the ground just go edge instead

Fang is better for waves - you do more DPS (for instance, 8.75 DPS with fang vs 8.1 DPS with tent on manticore) on every single monster even with overkill in consideration when compared to tentacle whip. It's only dog at Sol, tho you can probably bring tent for the final fight only.

idk what im doing wrong but the ranger doesnt hit just 1s on me hes smacking 11s and 12s
this was made before the update to colosseum, which increased the rangers max hit... date of change is on the osrs wiki and the video has a date before the increase to ranger range str. So....ignoring ranger does not apply anymore and it should be killed with the rest of the frem

Mr Gnome @Gnomonkey, you say that tent is bad on final boss due to tick difference...What about a Zombie axe? Not only does it have much higher strength, but it is also 5T. Thoughts on that?
So at the 39:40 ish mark he says that you lose a hit ever 4 hits. So you effectively only have 80% of the weapons DPS.
In this setup, Tent Whips raw DPS is 8.063 for an adjusted rate of 6.45. Zombie axe is 7.32.
So if I am understanding him correctly, yes it would be better for the boss specifically, but it like 10-20% worse for pretty much everything else in the colosseum.

Yup! Venator is BiS, but I didn't consider it budget or ironmeme friendly

Wait can you elaborate on the use of Atlatl? Didn’t you say it’s the same as TBP and webweaver? This way you could use a blessing in ammo slot instead of darts?
he is using it instead since it scales with the melee armor instead of using more slots for ranged armor
I have a tbow & scythe, but no shadow. Do you think it's a bad idea to do the waves with tbow, and only the boss with scythe?
ranger keeps hitting 12 and 13's instead of 1 as claimed in this guide. I don't get it. difference: fire cape, dragon boots, avernic (crystal shield), serp helm and torture.
This guide is outdated and was made before the patch. It's a day one guide. I have an updated guide with Soulreaper Axe and Scythe, both same concepts as low budget, but updated.

Is shadow a play here, or is there no point if you're only using it for the fremmy waves? I assume you need some extra mage gear to oneshot the meleer as well with it
Shadow is BIS with 4 way jewelery cape swap. But that's not budget :P. My other guide is more ideal setup

They don't increase max hit but I think they would affect undead grasp in other locations which is interesting

about a week after this guide came out.. a buff was given to the Fremmy Ranger. they now have a maxhit of 14.. not 1 in this guide

ive been using dark bow for the seer, one shots them with just bow and rig [unpotted]
I haven't actually tried this yet but the final boss looks easier than inferno. But the wave lures look way harder.

Maybe, depends how your supplies look. If you are starting to get there with like 5+ brews, sure. Its 18s+ save with 2 hammers

Prims are a negligible upgrade, but this is the end of end game content so there are a few higher priorities than coming here in rags

That's not how that works...that only works with BofA. Ranged armor. You definitely want Bandos/faceguard

No. Soulreaper axe damages yourself and triggers Blasphemy and DOOM

The archer damage is a bug, i would avoid training to not kill him, when they fix it, youll just get yourself killed
not a bug, it was real. they just increased archer range str which incresed the max hit..
@LadanyEntertainment not to mention range level was the largest jump in max hits. The +10 range str increase is only a 2 max hit. Combo'd with the 107 range level increase gives you the rest. Once again, over-sights/typos are bugs.
