@@joshttale I wonder if they have any copyright issues? 🤣Honestly though, I I’ve heard of that. It would be also reasonable to add Massive Attack’s “False Flags” to the list. They sampled “The Bends” there, particularly - looped the first line of the first verse (“Where do we go from here?..”), which is heard in the original track at 0:45. The loop pitched down by a couple semitones in MA’s song can be heard starting from 4:40 along with the instrumental outro and then when the instrumental fades out it’s basically the last element that plays effectively in isolation and wraps up the song, so it can be heard clearly at 5:18. This very loop drove me insane every time I listened to False Flags for about ~5-7 years, ‘cause I recognised that it’s something extremely familiar, but I couldn’t recall where the sample was from. Then being in nostalgic mood I randomly chose to listen to The Bends LP. and guess what? Once I’ve heard the first line of the title track, I thought “shit, this sounds extremely familiar and disturbing. where else might I have heard it?” - and then this thought drove me absolutely nuts, ‘cause I wasn’t able to recognise it as a source of my initial anxiety around this line. it took me about ~5 days more to recognise its connection to False Flags loooool. Can’t really be a sample if it is literally a mash up of two to three songs. Find that one odd because Girl Talk doesn’t produce music more he just creates great mash up sets.
I found an unreleased Radiohead song from 2017, that is actually a 404 error on Google! But it could only repeat a 20 second part, because it had only a few lyrics... 😮😶

I don’t think the second one is actually a sample and is just a case of coincidental similar synths and patterns. They don’t credit Radiohead on the tracks linear notes and the band is not shy about crediting their samples, (i.e check the credits of Step)
@@pascalg16 As a brit they weren't ever really britpop, they've kinda always been seperate from it, even during The Bends, they weren't exactly in a scuffle with Oasis and Blur.
