Hey guys, here is a video that shows you how we restore headlight and make them like new. NEVER EVER CLEAR COAT your headlights. You might damage the plastic and there is no way to fix it. Our method works great and restores them permanently. If you apply sealant wax every 6 months they will stay shiny like new all the time. Improve the appearance of your car and visibility at night as well. Clean, shiny headlights perform great at night.
We used 3M Perfect-it Series Rubbing Compound
    3M Perfect-it Series Machine Polish
    Sealer by Chemical Guys
You will also need sandpaper. Use good quality sandpaper like 3M or Gator.
    3M Polishing pad.

Thanks for the video. I just did mine on my CLK. I didn't have a
power polisher available. I just used
    1) wet sandpaper 1200
    2) Halfords rubbing compound
    3) T-Cut
    4) Autoglym Fast Glass
Took about an hour or so. Huge improvement and they are mostly now very clear and smooth. There is a touch of misting inside the headlamp covers here and there but not as much a I thought there was before I started.

this is great, i have same problem on my merc and need to fix it. this is by far the best ive seen so far. the only problem is, unless you're a car detailing/cleaning company it can be more expensive than buying the lenses. I like doing everything myself, but i dont have a polish buffer. The M3 polish in the shop is 78 euros for the small bottle, (and thats just one of the polishes you use. Thats the same price as new light lenses. If i could buy a small amount of the polish needed it would be cheaper, but the smallest is 78 euros.

Just did this on my 1999 E320. Although I used novus heavy scratch remover compound and novus fine scratch remover. And generic sandpaper (1200 and 2000 grit) I got in an assortment from Amazon. Very similar results in minimal time.

Well done, I would like to suggest 303 Maring protectant for a final step it will provide UV protection. I buy it on amazon and it will make the lens so clear it will look like you removed the lens all together. I have done many headlights and it is funny to see the look on the customers face when their head lights are so cleac. I have had many say i thought you broke off the plastic they are so clear.

Well, technically?? What you're "Removing" is the Thin UV Film laminate.
That is indeed what turns cloudy or yellow.
But without it?? your lenses will simply re-yellow again...only quicker.
