  • Think you can't fast? Think again! In this video, I share my top three tips to help you prepare for your first one.
    You'll want to:
    1. Get support
    2. Prepare (clear your calendar of social outings revolving around eating during your fasting week!)
    3. Remember the much harder things you've overcome (this is a breeze in comparison)

Absolutely! The guide can be purchased here: bit.ly/3lmpFXv // The first image is breakfast which is the same for all 5 days. Next salad image and the two other dinner images/video are from days 2-5 which is good news since day 1 includes a bit more food compared to days 2-5!

I do a regular fast between 17-18 hours every day. Do you think switching to the fasting week with a different schedule will work for me? I’m interested in joining your fasting circle.

That would be so fun to have you, Elle! Valter Longo (creator of the fasting mimicking diet) recommends healthy people do this twice a year - so every 6 months - and also intermittent fast each day for 12-13 hours. He says it takes 24-48 hours for us to get into a true fasting state so this one is different and next level 😅

@@plant52_ I wonder if my 17-18 hours of fasting is too long of a gap? I really prefer it because my mind is sharp all morning when not eating.

@@ElleNaturally Longo says that studies show when people skip breakfast, they don't do well long term but says the science doesn't confirm why (?). Other credible experts advocate for a 16 hour intermittent fasting window though so if it works well for you right now, you may want to stick with it! If you do eat in the morning and feel sluggish afterwards, it could be from something in your food

@@plant52_ true so I skip anything heavy or gluten based and that’s helped a lot. ☺️

@@ElleNaturally ultimately I think that's the key to consistenly feeling good - experimenting with what we eat (and how/timing, etc) and seeing how we feel. 🙂 If it's working for you and you're feeling good, that's what counts!
