Kydex is like putting hubcaps on a Ferrari. Both this knife and the Ferrari deserve better. I would love to see a hand crafted leather sheath for this beautiful knife.

A couple of thoughts..
If the angle of the forward area of the handle slabs is angled forward the kydex will seat the spine up into the kydex while pulling the edge up and away from the kydex instead of pushing the edge down into the kydex.
Also, if the top of grip extends up towards the plunge line there is greater support for the web of the hand between the thumb and index finger that is very helpful for working wood with a fist grip (web pushed agains wide handle vs only narrow spine.)

That was ferric chloride for couple hours(not same for all steels ) and after that stone wash

Great looking blade..ive always wondered how the aluminum blocks work as a quench. Do you cool the blocks or is it room temp?
Room temperature. AEB-L must be cooled from 1060C to 600C in under 2 minutes. So you have plenty of time with room temperature plates and 15 to 20mm plates can absorb and dissipate quite a lot of heat

how did you darken the knife what liquid did you use?
Hey man ! I just realise you seem to have a 2x72 from the brand ´´Batkovic´´ when i´m not mistaken ! I have the Batkovic Meli 94H/V now for about a year and i just am not able to get clean grind lines on more than 60 grit. as soon as I put on a 120 or higher belt, my grind line gets wobbly and always too high in the trying of getting the grind hight to line up. Do you have any tipps and can you tell me, if you run your grinder on a reduced speed via a VFD ? I´m really thinking of upgrading to a variable speed, but I´m not entirely sure which one to buy and if this will fix my problems..
