i heard a guys testimony about when he went to prison for preachin in iraq and he enjoyed it a lot because he got to be with jesus in peace and preach to the others in prison and he saw it as honorable and an opportunity rather than a punishment and i think thats a valuable mindset to have when spreading the gospel

When I said I’m glad you watched this, was a complement to you, as I think this presentation was done in a church , for Christian’s to ponder on. My guess is you’re not a believer, therefore it makes sense you wouldn’t agree, but you still don’t provide 1 example where he gives “false premises” and I see “your gullible” quote in other people’s comments too. Instead of labeling, you should say why you5hink that with an example. I’ve listened to Hitchens and Dawkins and other atheist, but i know the people who watch him are likeminded, I don’t agree but I don’t post lableling comments on those videos after I watch them.

As a Christian myself i know to expect to be hated. People want approval of everything. When we share the gosspel, its not hate that we are sharing, its because people hate being convicted. People only want to hear what would be pleasing to them. People want everyone to except their life style and agree with everything. This world has so many problems, if there was no hope to put an end to all the evil and problems in this world. Then why are we here. Whats the purpose of life. Is it everyone live for themselves, and get the most pleasure possible. Is it to get the most money. Is it to get as much luxurious and expensive things. Maybe thats what some people think life is. But think of this. A starving child who looses their life young, and remember. People starve because of the greed of others, the actions of others. If there was no god, then what was the purpose of that childs life. Yes born into a very unfair cruel dangerous world. They didnt choose be born in a poor country. If there was no god, then there would be absolutely no hope for that child.
Im so thankful that there is a god who loves and cares about us. When a child looses their life, they will be safe and happy. With Jesus in heaven, away and far from this evil world where they will never starve and never suffer or be in pain ever again. If there was no god, then there would absolutely no hope for any of us. Whilst some live a life of luxury, theres others that have to suffer because of this unfair world. Lives are too often destroyed and broken because of the actions of others. And it does seem , being severely broken myself to turn to Jesus, is far more likely because not only is He the only one i know we can trust, but He offers eternal life in heaven if we believe and trust in Him. And ofcourse follow and turn from our sins. I will always trust and believe that Jesus is the one true hope for this entire world. Jesus is too loving to go against our free will. He will not force us to love Him, He will not force Himself into our lives, and Hes not going to force anyone into heaven. If people continue to reject Jesus, eventually He will give them over to their desires. And that will be to spend all eternity separate from God. But separate from God means a place with no light, no love, and no strength. Because God is our source of strength, light, and we love because He loved us first.
Eternity is a very long time to make the wrong choice. God has made it so simple for us, yes its a narrow way, but simply one way way into heaven, simply trust and believe in Jesus His only begotten Son. Ofcourse it does require commitment and to follow Jesus. Repent and turn from our sins. I believe thats the biggest reason why so many reject Jesus. People want to be god of their own lives.
But what this world offers is only temporary, promises are broken, rejection, people will fail you, let you down leaving you so broken. From my experience anyway. But what Jesus has to offer is garanteed, a promise of eternal life in heaven. Why wuld anyone want to turn down that offer. Ill certainly be praying for everyone.

The sad fact is, most people who call themselves Christian WILL spend eternity in hell. It’s not just a title. You absolutely MUST SUBMIT to Jesus Christ. You don’t “allow” Him into your heart. You proclaim the truth of His claim as the son of God and ACCEPT the gift of salvation He offers. Make no mistake about it. EVERYONE is under the providence of God. He uses everyone for His purpose. NO ONE is outside of His control. We can inly accept His gift.

Rights don’t come from God. Only morals come from God. Rights are created by government and some rights align with Devine Moral law and some don’t. I think frank is right most of the time but he is wrong in this statement. Rights themselves are subjective as they vary from country to country. Eg:- Right to vote is dependent on form of governance in the country. In a monarchy there is no right to vote. So it doesn’t come from God.
It says right there in our Declaration of Independence. "...endowed by their Creator [God] with certain unalienable Rights..." It also says it's self-evident. Yes, some rights, like voting, come from government as a part of the system we've developed. But rights to life and freedom are beyond government and from God. Government is in place to protect those rights. If government determines rights, you can never say they're wrong. We know that's not true.

This is the most theologically bankrupt doctrine I have ever heard coming from a Christian, and from such a renowned apologist no less. 1st: If something is an absolute, it cannot by it's nature be graded, because it is the absolute, pinnacle, apex, no higher. 2nd: He brings up a false dilemma; there is a 3rd option he ignores that preserves "the moral absolute" per James 2:8-12, silence. You are never required to answer the gestapo's query. Just look at Jesus, He never answered His accusers @ His trial, but once. In the scenario, you could remain silent, even to your detriment (John 15:12-14) to preserve their life, while not lying to the gestapo either.
Of course, there are a multitude of responses one could say/do to the nzzis, his point is that lying to save innocence wont barr you from paradise.
You could, in your logic, also say that a soldier jumping on a grenade would in fact be suicide barring you from heaven, but you did so to save the lives of innocence. So would you just stand there and do nothing?
@@Ryknfjor There is a difference between giving your life for someone by using your body as a shield... therefore, not suicide. Suicide is the intentional act of killing oneself. In your scenario, death is incidental, not intentional. The person knows they will most likely die to preserve life, but they are not jumping on the grenade in order to kill themselves, hence commiting suicide. Turek presents a false dilemma, which is a logical fallacy.
