Great review! I've been wanting to setup an outdoor screen and projector for weekend movie nights with the family and neighbors. Projectors get expensive quick so this definitely gives me a more obtainable option. Thanks!
Great review man and it is impressive that they put a glass lens in it at that price point. You are right about the colors though, even on the video footage you can tell the purples and blues don't pop quite as much.
Hello techno Viking how are you? Man you always support my videos that's cool. The funny thing is my youngest daughter did notice the quality difference. Yes projectors can be technical and there are things to look for that the average person would not think of but it's incredible for the price in my opinion.
Another awesome product review. I struggle to get my kids to want movie nights anymore now. All they want to do is TikTok and Instagram. I miss those days.
Hello bro I'm really sorry about that and you're not alone, we have Roku with Netflix and Amazon prime movies so we have lots of choice but the problem is finding something all of us like, I'm not really into kids movies I didn't really want to watch Frozen but I'm glad I did it turned out to be well done. The joke is when I first uploaded this CZcams blocked it in all countries because of the movie I portrayed, I had to re-edit it without the audio and flip the screen horizontally the fly under the snitch robot radar. Lol
@@Raychristofer wow, that was smart thinking though - Flipping the screen. I know audio, you're allowed 6 seconds I think. That's handy to know about the screen flip though in case I ever have a need for it.
Hahaha , hey Bon, you know something, I never thought of that and Im shooting large format so that would be cool, dont give me any ideas. lol. yeah man sometimes I Review things outside of photography for the fun of it. good looking out. Mathew is a very unique guy I like him because he just does his thing and comes up with lens ideas most wouldnt think to try
Hello Paul how you feeling? Hope you're managing in the lockdown but you're a soldier anyway. Yes it's faultless for the price they could probably double the price and still be in the running but don't tell them I said that LOL
Hey thanks Manuel. You just reminded me I didn't put a link to the higher performance projector review. How would you use a projector on a photo shoot?
Yes probably good enough, but the life of it won’t last forever, the lamp will need to be changed, old HD TV’s needed lamps changed. This lamp for this projector might be discontinued resulting in the price for a new lamp to increase in price. I want one that has no lamp or has a longer life. But thanks for the great review. I was looking at one of those myself.
Great review, Ray! I noticed when you cast black and white images from your phone, the image displayed by the projector has a blue cast compared to your phone? 7:24 in the video for reference
Hi Ray. Can you put the projector at a side angle and use the keystone adjustment to fix it so it lays flat against the wall? I was thinking of using it like a green screen for photography.
Hello, you know I think you definitely can as long as you're not shooting it at an extreme angle to the wall because the keystone only corrects for so much. You're definitely thinking out of the box I would like to see that done maybe I could learn something from it
@@Raychristofer I'm married... she like murder mysteries, the more grewsome the better.. I like something educational or humorous.. My cat likes naked birds and squirrels I call it kitty porn.. hahahahah
@@Raychristofer This device actually might become my go-to TV alternative since I've switched to mobile only about three years ago, including ditching TV hardware. Thanks for one additional bang-for-the-buck review, I really appreciate it!
@@olafwDE you know what I did cable TV probably seven years ago and started using Roku as there's tons of free quality programing and my phone service provides free Amazon prime so I've got tons of programming there too. You're doing the right thing by cutting back on TV it drains the brain. By the way this model brightness is 3,000 lux but they have another model that is 4500 l u x that is $125 I'm really curious what the differences are
@@Raychristofer Thank you Ray, normally I would experience people shaking their heads about this decision. They are not aware that a shift of media consumption is already happening amongst the younger generations. Provided the fitting data plan, smartphones plus projectors like the one you've reviewed will most certainly outlive 60+ inch TV hardware in a foreseeable future. It's like with Olaf the snowman: Someone gotta tell 'em about reality.... :)

For a second there I thought you were gonna use the projector as a camera lens a la Mathieu Stern 😂 great review~

I got the Vankyo L430W and it’s just about good enough for movie night but the glass isn’t good for text.
Hello OC I miss you man. How you doing with lock down. You can always borrow mine for date night 🙂
Really informative video Definitely gonna have to convince my parents to buy this

Where do I go to connect the wifi
uses more electricity than a refrigerator, television or washing machine?
Can this projector be used vertically? I use my ceiling as a screen surface in bed.
Hello that is a really good question the next time I power it on I will look in the settings and let you know.
Very important very very important
What app did you use
How noisy is this projector
Wow 🧑🎤
