I went ahead and removed the wedding video question and videographer portion from this video due to the videographer receiving direct messages she expressed to me were bullying her, which was absolutely not my intent and I do not support. Love y’all 💓💞 It’s a beautiful day to be alive ✨🫶🏼☁️
Are people realllyy bullying her or just telling her the truth about how crappy it was for her to not edit the video and she should be ashamed for not caring for her clients.

This video included some of the best wedding advice I have received yet. My fiance and I are getting married in November and I have been so up and down and back and forth on planning. I love how you kept the perspective of it being YOUR day and what YOU wanted. It’s so refreshing to hear from someone I deem as super successful talk about budget and planning their dream wedding within specific parameters. In this as a age of comparison, it’s easy to fall into the trap of not feeling your wedding will be nice if you don’t spend an exuberant amount of money. My husband and I shared our vows with each other the night before on the couch at his parents house (we were staying there as it was close to the venue). I cried then and we had a lovely moment together. This allowed us to still share our vows with the rest of our family, but to get the emotions and the jitters around them out of the way in a special moment just between the two of us. It wasn't planned that way, but we just both really value each other's opinion, and I am glad it worked out the way it did.
So happy to know your wedding was private and everything you wanted.

Sounds like a really beautiful wedding! We're getting married just the two of us, no guests at all, witness provided but in a beautiful place. Then we are having a party with 40 guests a week later and that has taken so much pressure off a fellow introvert! Something I was dreading has turned into something I'm so excited about :)

Being discerning and valuing the privacy between you and your life partner = relationship care, self love and life balance.

My HUSBAND and I got married on the 14th of Jan this year and our day was so much like yours in that it was intimate, we did our first look and got all that jittery stuff out of the way together - which i cannot recommend enough! My husband wouldn't have had half of the emotions that he shared with me in front of all of our guests and thats honestly what i was was there for, me and him vibes!

I also want to say as a girlie in addiction recovery (not sure if anyone else on here is too, cause they def would have picked up on this as well!), it is so amazing to hear you chose to have a sober wedding for yourselves. You are the first person I have ever heard of doing this and I think it is super responsible as well as just making it aware for people that not having alcohol does not make it any less of an amazing wedding or diminish the fun. I just have to say this has eased my wedding anxiety sooo much. My fiancé and I have been engaged going on 2 years now and I always feel weird about us waiting so long, but it’s nice to know you guys had a long engagement too.
We also don’t have a lot of friends or drink alcohol 😂 so planning on leaving out the bridal party and alcohol too.

FACTS about your comments on wedding parties!!! We decided to go without wedding parties for similar reasons. It is so refreshing to hear that other couples are thinking the same and are more interested in having intimate ceremonies with their closest loved ones. I definitely don’t want to look back on photos like....welp, we are no longer friends hahaha.

I. Eh. Erm. Hm. I'll try to be diplomatic.
Listen - I'm in the creative industry and have photographed weddings, events, and portraits before (albeit nothing in comparison to this person's video portfolio I'm sure.) Used to do freelance design before joining the agency world. There should have been a compromise here. Yes, you signed up for it, but a part of the job is relationship building. Anyone who is client-facing (and yes, bound by a contract) knows this.
Flipping through her portfolio, even a clipped edit would suffice from a marketing perspective. I don't know what her "lead generation," goals are, but if she took the time to get to know you in this process and understand how much *some* privacy means to you - this just really misses the mark for me.
I probably don't have enough facts to formulate an opinion and perhaps it's not my place. Just a little disappointed on this reflection in the creative industry.
Edit: most importantly though - I'm happy to see you happy. What you've shared so far is beautiful. I'm so glad it was all you dreamed of.

Very well put. I understand the contract aspect of it. I completely get needing to promote your work! However! It’s her job to make the bride and groom happy. Plus with this profession being very word of mouth it would seem in her best interest to at least remove the vows.

My husband and I got married Nov. 27, 2021. It was one of the best moments of my life. I didn't think it would change anything, but it does.
We've been together since 15 and got married at 32. We're both extremely introverted 😅 so when we were planning a wedding (and it hit 150 ppl) we just decided to elope. At the end of the day we want a moment to point out just how much this person means to you. I couldn't of been happier to have that private vows moment. You truly have eachothers attention in that moment. Truly fantastic thing to experience.

Beautiful! I loved your wedding photos and I honestly support you keeping the video private but obviously happy to see it if that's what your videographer is forcing you to do. Better to keep the power of releasing it yourself for sure! Lol, my goal of my wedding day was to make my dad cry.
