    I'm desperately waiting for ANY judge to ask the million dollar question..If they claim to be a sovcit, and they have immunity from the laws of the United States, how can they invoke our constitution? Can't have it both ways.

      These fools are trying to use words in there favor without realizing that they are using it incorrectly. The constitution does have verbiage in it that protect citizens and sovereign individuals. These people however are trying to commit felonies and crimes then invoke the idea that because they don’t proclaim citizenship the law doesn’t apply but at the same time saying that the law protects them from having to face trail for those acts. They are wrong and the majority will end up in jail. It’s been over a year for this knucklehead but he will clearly mess up and get arrested. He believes he is bigger than he is

      Judge Middleton has done that and more. He told them they use our roafs, our streetlights, our electric companies and more but claim the laws don't apply to them. He then went on to ask what's next, you can sell drugs or assault someone. Then after you punch the person they fall and die. He told him that's anarchy and chaos. But you want to cherry pick parts of the constitution and claim you're immune from our laws. We're waiting for the next hearing and the trial on his case. The prosecutor, Debra Davis is charging him with felonies for falsifying federal documents and staye documents. It didn't even get his attention. He kept on thinking his SovCit nonsense will get him out of trouble. Ms. Davis even stated she'd be calling a TSA agent and other very serious people.

    • @StarCadet
      @StarCadet Před rokem +72

      The logic is wonky, but there is some logic. They aren't saying that they are immune from laws. They willfully confuse criminal and civil law. They essentially try to use a different set of laws that just aren't applicable. There is always a grain of truth in every lie. Someone, somewhere read up on commercial statutes and found one that said something similar to "the government can not require a specialized driver's license for commercial purposes." In other words, I don't have to have two driver's licenses. One for personal driving and one for commercial driving. (I am talking about purpose, not for specialized equipment like tractor/trailers) This all relates to interstate commerce and one state not imposing taxes on trucker's from another state. This is where all that "Federal law trumps state laws" stuff comes from.
      The SovCits take the meaning to be that as long as they are conducting commerce, they don't need a license period. I can't tell if they are just ignorant or being willfully ignorant. Are they trying to play word games? I can warp my brain just enough to see it from their viewpoint. Although I have to warp my brain quite a lot.

      I disagree completely. The judge WAS putting up with defendant continually interrupting and talking over him. He keeps repeating hollow threats to shut him down, but seems too weak to make good on his threats. Defendant keeps asking for legal advice. Judge should remind him judges can't do that. Should also have held him in contempt for refusing to obey the courts orders not to keep going down that road.
      And we know from the next hearing that he backs down from the contempt as well. The public defender has the judge wrapped around her finger and can talk him into anything.
      Some judges are far too weak for the position.

The constitution (AFAIK I'm not American) provides protection from trial without representation (oops), right to a speedy trial; and no cruel and unusual punishment. This purportedly comes from the axiom of American law that government authority comes from the "consent of the governed". The error in their logic is that they think this refers to individual consent; it does not. We, the governed, give our consent by electing someone to represent our interests in government. If my choice doesn't win, I still have other options to ensure that my interests are represented, such as moving to a district where the elected representative does act as I would want, organizing a campaign to get the "bad" representative out of office, or lobbying to convince them to change their mind and vote as I would want. On top of that, many ballots contain referenda upon which voters can voice their opinions directly.
      Our government is a participatory one. If you, dear SovCit, choose not to participate, then you forfeit your voice as to how it will operate.

I'm not saying it should be this way, but those with warrants for failing to appear for offenses like traffic or misdemeanors like trespassing, disorderly (or even worse offenses) aren't usually individually sought out by police; it's not a police priority. So annoying with their "Let the record show"..
    If the words come out of your mouth, the court reporter takes them down, thus, they're in the record.
    Saying "Let the record show" comes straight out of TV shows. It's unnecessary to say it
