I did a 2-3 on every paddle. pattern on a standard dog a couple years ago and still going strong..
I just did the 1/2" koldkutters today KK-12250-8, I did a single in the center, next lug 2 just tad out from center, next lug 2 on the ends, then next lug back to 2 just out from center, then single in teh center again, so a repeating diamond I would say. Pattern matched up perfect through the entire track start to finish. I'll see how it goes. If I need more I can do a 2 then 3 then 2 then 3 pretty simple

I understand the studs give better grip but what is the reason for it, is it for glare ice conditions. I just got a snow dog and it seemed to pull fine on slick wet ice.
It helps when you have a bigger load on. Made a huge difference for me
Does studding out the snow dog track make it much more difficult to steer?
Slow speeds on ice yes but other than that no
I highly doubt it would pop start with that clutch. Anyways, 5/8 don't go thru the track?
Probably wouldn't happen but would be bad if it did. But the 5/8 is perfect length
