Thank you SO much for sharing this. The card that came with this baby is cute but I needed verbal instructions. You explained it so well! Bless you. 💕
Haha no problem. I felt the same way! The card was not very helpful to me either hah. So very glad I could help! Stay tuned for more videos like this. I will be experimenting with a few new inks and products, plus building stencils and such. Thanks for watching dearest!
Same girls!! Same!!
Thank you very much for this video... It took me a few to realize I needed to tighten the top screw to get the whole machine to work! This really helped me in putting my new Dragonhawk machine together. I really appreciate your video!
Thank you so kindly I appreciate the respectful comment. I get about 50/50 of negative comments vs nice ones on this video in particular. I always try to be helpful to others and am glad it was helpful for you. Thank you for your support and watching!
It helps to pull the spring down using the bar, and the length between the contact screw and the spring should be the width of a dime coin. No hating on the video and sorry about the negative comments. Just isn't in "full depth" trouble shooting. Probably helping a lot of people out here. Stay blessed all and happy tattooing!
YOU ARE AWESOME for this! My gun didn’t even come with instructions! With your help I was able to get going! THANK YOU!! ❤️👍🏽
Oh my goodness you are so welcome! Thank you for watching my video and for your support. I tried to be helpful in showing others what I hashed through and had to learn on my own. I hope it worked out for you!
Amazing video! Thank you! I just bought this machine, and am super excited to have found your channel
Hope you enjoy it! You are so welcome!
Mine doesn't work. All set up & plugged in correctly. But nothing happens when stepping on the foot pedal
well that stinks! Did you contact the company and explain what is happening to them? I bet they will send you a new one or either refund.
Same thing is happening to me
does this happen when you switch from shading to lining? try both
I had this problem but then I switched the plugs on the power bank and it worked
I did everything but mine isn’t working
Thank you for sharing! Do you know if any rubber band can work? Or what size?
Im super glad to be of help. As for my own experience, I noticed that trying out different rubber bands (trial by error) seems to be the best bet. Its hard to explain but you will notice the tight fit and what seems to work the best and feel the most comfortable. Good luck to you and thank you for watching my video!
When the power wire is getting connected to the tattoo gun, do the wires need to be in a certain direction, positive/negative wise? I bought a machine, without instructions, and I'm finding conflicting information on CZcams. I don't want to burn anything up. Also, how do you determine which machine is linework vs, shading? Thank you for your time!
Hello,
Nice video and very interesting!👍
Nice greetings from Germany!🖖🍀
Thank you so very much for your support and watching, I'm glad the video was helpful!
@@HippieHousewife 😃
This makes it abundantly clear why tattoo artists are so against scratches.
Scratchers. Yes
Lord have mercy
Also be sure to check out the "Dragon Hawk Tattoo Kit" on EBay folks! 😉 Hope you liked this video. Stay awesome yall! 💋
Nice video!
Thank you so much! I hope the video was helpful for you!
Idk how to connect the cords the cords wont stay
Same
Thank you! Great video
Thank you love glad it was helpful!
Thank Youuuuu🤞🏾 Now How You Know The Differences Between The Shading Gun n The Lining Gun?
Actually setting it up would have been nice
So the rubber band goes over top of the battery? Just wondering
Thanks for the video. I feel like I set it up all right but for some reason it still doesn’t work after I connect the power supply. Am I supposed to calibrate the power box? Also does ink come in the gun already or are you supposed to add ink to a new pen and if so, how?
Your welcome thank you for watching. The ink is in separate bottles, I also recommend buying that in bulk separately if needed. I'm sorry your machine didn't work. Did you assure that all connections were properly aligned in your machine gun?
I am having the same problem, my peddle sparks when I use it and the gun doesn't even turn on
Mine won’t turn on can you help me
Awesome job
Thank you so kindly for watching and I hope that the video was helpful!
You should've just taken apart the machine you had put together first and shown us. If you didn't wanna open new packages. Wouldve been better than just imaging it finished. But wish you the best with your tattoo adventures.
I will consider that tip for future videos. Thank you for not being disrespectful and rather informative.
@@HippieHousewife yea for sure. Sometimes messeging can come of rude. Thx for seeing that it wasnt. Bc of people like u, we can search and find things we need. Keep it up 👍🏼
@@rynoX88 wow man...i greatly appreciate that. Thanks a ton ✌😊 I sure will. Thanks for the support and watching.
I also wanted to say that I admire your music playlist. All of the band's I used to listen to a few years ago religiously 🤘😊
@@HippieHousewife Awesome. Thx. Yea ill get really into a band and then ill switch to another n so on. But i love going back n listening to songs i used to play over n over. Lol. I like all kinds of music too, but Linkin Park still my #1 tho. Idk if ur a fan or not..
Thank you! just got into tattooing so im excited to learn it! Video made it easy!
You are very welcome, I'm super glad I could help. Thanks for watching!
Thank you so much! Why would the tip of my needle come out of the metal tip at the bottom? It like moves around a lot.
You are so welcome. You would need to tighten the metal handle a bit more to assure the needle is secure.
Thank you
You are welcome!
I just did that and iv taken it apart and done it all over again but the machine is still not going should I return mine cause I literally just got it today iv looked put and gone through so many tutorials I can’t see what I’m doing wrong
I absolutely would return it then. Have you had anyone else take a look at it with you for assistance?
Very helpful, thanks a bunch!
You are so very welcome. Im super glad to help and thankful for you watching my video!
my needle is sitting too high and almost above the cartridge?
Do you know what the settings for the power control should be set at?
I generally float around the 9-13 area and get a feel for the power and sound. Do a bit more research on this for safety purposes. I generally choose my own comfort level and am uncertain the exact number.
So I got it set but but for some reason it will only move I eve then nothing. The needle will go up and down if I press on the petal but won’t do a continues motion. If increased power but nothing.
Hmmm...did you see if your connection is stable? The cord and power box? Also you need to assure the proper connection from cord to the tattoo machine.
For some reason mine is just not working at all and I did the exact same way

I would contact the company and ask for a replacement kit OR try trouble shooting different parts, perhaps the bands or the electrical box?
Hey, thanks 7.31 in you say about attaching the end bit, but not what size? You say before that they are all different sizes... Sorry for sounding silly, no idea what I am doing here, and I'm 50, so praying can get away with my silly qustion...
I would recommend doing a bit more research. I do know that the 7 and 9 point needles are good for color shading and I typically use the smaller numbered needles for lines and edges. I hope this helps! Please dont feel silly at all. Good luck!
Man my machine I got off of Amazon extends the needle once I press down the foot pedal, but the needle only comes out ONCE and stays out while the pedal is down. Once I release the pedal, the needle goes back in. So essentially I'd have to keep tapping / pressing the pedal, EACH time I want the needle to come out, over and over and over again. And releasing the pedal, each time I want the needle go back in. Why can't I just hold the pedal down and the machine runs, properly ?
Holding the pedal down the entire time you are tattooing is how it should be operating. Not the way you are describing it. Were you able to fix it or call the company and explain to them what is happening?
wait are u supposed to still dip the needle in ink like stick n pokes tho or is it diff?
Yes you are supposed to continue to dip your need in ink periodically to assure that you have enough to distribute into your skin while doing your lines etc.
Thank you for your good explanation. But I am getting REALLY irritated. The round part doesn't fit properly, is the only thing I can assume. The screen isn't long enough to keep it securely in there, it just falls out. What am I doing wrong it is it literally just the gun is not made right? It's the tube part and on mine, it doesn't screw it nor does the other side secure the ink part. I have watched several videos, yours is the best, however mine STILL wont work. Can someone please tell me if I'm doing it wrong or if I need to cuss the "dragonhawk"people out?
So, the secondary piece was not in correct and was hard to get out. However, the other part still wont stay, it just falls out...smh.
very helpful thank you☺️👍🏽
Just got mine . It doesn’t turn on…
you are genious. Thanks a lot. So informative clear
You are most welcome! xoxo
How do you add ink
To add the ink you wanna dip the tip of your machine gun needle in one of the small little cups they give you in the kit. A little bit of ink goes a long way. pour your ink in the little cup and dip the needle in it before tattooing.
Wow very great tutorial!
Thank you so kindly! Glad to help!
Showed me alot in a lil time ty
Your welcome! xo
Why is my tip so big. It doesn’t work
WHERE DO YOU PUT THE INKKKK
You dip the ink on the tip of your needle just as if you were dipping your brush into paint.
Good afternoon I need your tattoo kit,and how much is the cost ,I base in Accra Ghana
It cost about $100 US, but I'm not sure my Amazon link will work for you over seas. I would shop on your Amazon for your area. Good luck!
Hey thanks for a great video! I have the same kit, I am stuck with which machine is the liner and which is shader :/ the one you already had set up is the one I thought is the liner... is that correct!? Hope to hear back from you! Thanks so much ✌🏻❤️💕
Thank you for watching. I apologize for the late response lol Life has been busy! The more needles in one (Ex 7 or 9 point needles) are meant for shading and the smaller needles (Ex 3 point needles) are meant for outlining. Do a bit more research to double check exactly which needle points will provide for certain desired effects. Good luck dear!
Can u turn yours on mine isn’t working
I'm sorry to hear that. Yes mine works just fine. I would try wiggling and adjusting the connection piece/cord. Maybe you don't have it lined up for the power to stream properly? If that doesn't work (trying to reconnect the power cord), than I would contact the seller or Dragon Hawk and perhaps they will send you a new amp box or cord. Good luck!
Hello...I just assembled a dragonhawk tattoo machine using your instructions on video... everything is done but it's not generating power?? In other words it's not turning on??? Is there anything I'm doing wrong or the machine is faulty? I need help. Thank you for your time.
Did you have someone take a look at it with you? And have you looked up other tutorials to try and problem solve? I hope you were able to get it working by now, sorry for the delayed response. Let me know, thank you!
@@HippieHousewife no I haven't gotten both dragonhawk tattoo machines working...i tried everything but pulling the cord's apart near the plugs 🤦 I've had a few people look into it without any luck....
Call it a gun or a machine. Doesnt matter. Call it what ever the hell you want. True artists don't give a shit.
I appreciate that lol. I get corrected constantly by professionals that say "I hate when people call it a gun, its a machine." Finally tired of the comments, I decided to adjust the title for everyone's liking lol
@@HippieHousewife yea it bothers me a little when people say its not right to call you 'machine' a gun. If i wanna call it a potatoe but im learning and becoming a better artist too, well then who cares honestly. Anyone who corrects others on that subject just gives off horrible vibes.
@@rynoX88 yes I completely agree. Lol I liked "if I wanna call it a potato" hah 😊🤘
ty my wife just got me a kit and this is super helpful .
Very awesome! I hope you enjoy it as much as we are lol. So glad that I was able to be helpful! Look for more videos like this in the future. I'll be making tattoo stencils and exploring with a few new ink products and such. I always enjoy sharing helpful tips along the way as I experiment.
I think mine is broke 😭
Hii m from India
Thanks for share this vedeo
You are very welcome! Thank you for watching!
You are welcome...
Hi mam can I get yr Insta ID... Actually I want to know about tattoo machines
Or can u do like an up close video i camt see
Sorry for the late response, my husband had knee surgery on top of the crazy holidays lol. Were you able to figure the cord connection out?
Ty setup perfectly‼️‼️
Awesome! I'm glad I could help!
How to identify the shader in the liner in the dragon hawk traditional tattoo kit
@@jorgeparjus5810 a very lovely video idea indeed. Perhaps I can jump to that in the near future! Thanks for the support and glad I could help in any way.
Firstly if you are gonna do tattoos and wanna be in a shop do not call it a GUN it's disrespectful to the trade. It's a tattoo machine
This shit is complicated how tf is we supposed to imagine ts
First off, maybe learn how to speak, type and conduct yourself in a respectful manor...might be a good start in the right direction. Its not complicated. Its pretty simple actually. Basic steps...follow visual and instructions. If you don't like what you see and find that its not helpful, then figure it out for yourself perhaps? You clearly looked up this video because you couldn't piece it together otherwise.
U need better lighting
Great. Thank you for the tip. Just curios if you know how to film or edit your own videos? Take the time to upload them, market yourself and have the knowledge or skills to make a better version? By all means, if so, please do and send it. Best of luck to you.

Hay I just got my ferst tattoo gun loved the info you sherd but I stil hav questions about it can you pleas pm me on fb Angela Luxx Man thank you
Respectfully it is called a tattoo machine, not a gun. Have a good day.
Respectfully, I have heard them referred to as both a "Tattoo Gun" and/or "Tattoo Machine". But thank you for the input and watching. You have a good day as well.
What you doing over here bro lol you know at one time I was where she's at pretty much it seems so long ago now I just commented pretty much the same thing you did bro and then seen you has said it aswell lol
@@lastchancetattoo3284 why thank you for all of the lovely input you guys 😃👍
No, it doesn't matter. It's how you use it. Don't be the douche bag that bitches about what it's called!!
@@HippieHousewife don't worry what these knobs tell you. True tattoo artists do not care what it's called but how you perform with your equipment. Only self centered pricks who want to seem superior bitch about what it's 'so called'. Keep on doing you ✌🏼
I was abt to watch the video but you had a fucking 80 minute intro
Thank you for the lovely compliment...
One it's not a gun it's a machine two you should never use metal tubes or grips unless you have a ultrasonic and an autoclave
You on drugs? LOL
It's called a machine not a gun
I am aware thanks to all of the lovely comments, thank you. And I changed the title for that specific reason.
