Being a Sussex born and bred man this Carol always means so much to me
Richard's arrangements never disappoint. I'd put him right up there next to Bach as one of the greatest organists of all time.
My favorite of his was the year he had shoulder surgery, so he did “Go tell it on the mountain” with his feet until the final verse.
@@kathrynolsen1256 definitely one of my favorites as well.
This is out of this world ❤❤
Beautiful rearrangement of the finale of Saint Saens organ concerto ❤
I saw Rick Elliot play that organ symphony and he got a standing ovation just for coming on stage. You can imagine how wild we went after the actual performance. I loved hearing this last year in person at the concerts.
Merry Christmas 🎄 beautiful concert 🫶👍🏻🎄🔔
A stirring performance, which was perhaps the most unified ensemble sound I have yet heard in any recording of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Thank you for carrying on the traditions of religious liberty. God bless the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
What is presented here is a clever play on Saint-Saëns' Organ Symphony, changing a celebration of life to a celebration of Christ. The Organ Symphony contains variations of the Gregorian Chant dies irae. In the finale, Saint-Saëns presents dies irae in a major key, giving the sense of a celebration of life. Richard Elliot cleverly replaces the major key variation of dies irae with the Sussex Carol, which is about the joy that comes from Christ.
Well done Brother Elliot. Not only a phenomenal performance, but also a brilliant arrangement.
CHRIST IS LORD . AMEN.fom a humble Catholic I New England 🎄 Beautiful music and praise ,Thank You !
he’s playing Saint Sean’s organ symphony No. 3 finale, a very nice rendition

Beautiful Christmas Carol sung by instruments only, hallelujah👏🎶🎺🎹🎷,, 🥁😅❤️
A beautiful Christmas organ/orchestral dialogue that brings fond memories of the
Camille Saint-Seans finale to his organ symphony - # 3.
Thank you !

Selamat natal from indonesia
This performance is amazing! I have watched it multiple times every day, since I found it before Christmas. The arrangement by Richard Elliott, combining Saint Saens with the Sussex carol. Played with such skill by him, on this phenomenal instrument. The orchestra sounded perfect. OK, I'm running out of adjectives. It is a magnificent piece of music! Thank you.
I’m with you. I listen to it at least daily with utter amazement and joy. I’ve never encountered a better arrangement for organ and orchestra. Those grand, lush chords from the organ at the start are so clean, clear, and balanced. They’re so powerful without being bombastic, as organ numbers often are. Then the responses from the orchestra feel … inevitable. It’s all just majestic. The video view counts should be in the millions. Everyone should hear this aural masterwork. Spread the word.
Fascinating rendition ❤
The talent by dedicated practice hours !!!
fantastic!!!!!!!!
Feliz Navidad y próspero Año Nuevo

Muito lindo! Feliz Natal!
Who is the organist with the incredible footwork?
1:41
Richard Elliot. He also arranged this piece.
Finally, an exceptional organist. Crisp, clean playing. Some of the others are rhythmically sloppy.
