We're taking a look at VoicePlay performing the same song 4 years apart. In the first one they have given it the "medley" treatment, and are singing it live in front of the camera. The second one is a studio recording of a full version of the song, featuring Voctave's EJ Cardona. Both songs are beautiful, and both are quite different from each other. It's always interesting to see how the same group can take the same song they have arranged before, and arrange it in such a very different way later on.

I love them both - the first one have a great comedy element to it, whereas with the other we get a full version with all the love an care they put into something like that, and a the added bonus of having EJ in it too ❤

The old version, where Geoff looks off in the wrong direction and Layne gives him grief for it is one of my All-time Favorites but I Love the way their voices blend with J and EJ in the new version, too ❤

Both are great, but since the one with EJ is the full version, that's my favorite!! Especially since EJ, Eli, and J keep exchanging happy singer glances!

The second one is better nice but the first one is so beautiful for me.
It reminded me of the good times when Earl was around. It means more to me.
Clearer, more heartfelt and sincere... J.None, Earl, Layne, Elie and Geoff... It was definitely touching . 🙏🤗♥️

Interestingly, in this case, I actually prefer the first one. I just love how their voices blend in their lists, and the humor in them (they make me miss Earl, sometimes). If I'm honest, as lovely as this song is, I don't care for it THAT much. I still appreciate the artistry. And that may be a bit unfair of me. See, as a HUGE Greek Mythology buff, I have SO many problems with Disney's "Hercules." I mean, I understand it's for kids, but they didn't even get the villain right! It should be Hera, NOT Hades! And it was Perseus and Bellerophon who rode Pegasus, not Hercules! Yes, I know Pegasus brings in little girls to the movie. But in the myths, there was no encounter between the two. Unless it happened after Hercules sat on his funeral pyre and was carried up to Olympus. They could have hung out then, I suppose.
I probably sound terrible, and I'm sorry, but it's a real pet peeve of mine. It also really irks me that, in MY opinion, Hollywood hasn't put out a decent Greek Myth movie since the original "Clash of The Titans!" Do NOT get me started on the remake! (Hours...I could go on for hours!) Oh, but I will say, on its own, "Wrath of The Titans" wasn't too bad. But then, it wasn't really based on an actual Greek Myth, just used some character names (and at least it had Perseus with Andromeda). It was an original story, so I could deal with that. I mean, the names still exist today, so they could just be their names.
Gah, sorry sorry sorry! I know a lot of people love the movie and it does have great music, but it's just not my cup of tea. Rant over! Oh, and I will say one thing good about the Disney movie, "Hercules." I liked their character *portrayal* of Hades (it just bugged me so much that he was the villain). Them having him with blue flame hair, and then when Greg Germann played Hades in "Once Upon A Time," when he got mad his hair turned into blue flame was hilarious. I do appreciate a good Easter Egg. I apologize again if I offended anyone.
