- Join all 4 of us as we conclude our first Scottish trip of 2023, with M&Ds, Scotland's Theme Park
In this vlog we show you the current ground and line up during the time of our visit (April 2023) as well as take you on some rides with several POVs!
Rides are based on a fun card system or wristband. 1 point is £1 and rides are up to 3 points. Wristbands are unlimited for the whole day and cost about £20 if booked ahead. Rides close 2pm- 230pm.
Please note we use specific equipment to film on rides. We strongly suggest that you don't use your phone on rides.

Forgot to mention the gallions and musik express are from dreamland margate and rip tide from the US, I have a few old bits of ride signage and have some what of a friendship with the owners

It’s an embarrassment that we cannot have a much more thriving amusement park in Scotland, this could me given a huge overhaul to bring it up to similar standard to Blackpool at least, I’d make it mostly enclosed too so it’s able to operate throughout the year.
It’s such a same this is the best we have.
Yeah absolutely but still the rides we have are some that are very uncommon in England such as music express or runaway mine train
@Jack-fo2tj Runaway Mine is very similar to a lot of other family coaster layout rides, usually Caterpillar themed coasters, and the Musik Express is a typical retro Waltzers nothing special at all.
Loads of retro style fun fares/amusements around England you'll see very similar rides.
Yeah we gave it a try and the fact Theo loved it so much says it all. Yes, it's not be best looking and so much more could be added but hearing from a few guys there, say they are hopeful for some more additions to the park and who knows what the future holds

It’s nothing special, it’s more of a fun fare than an actual theme park.
Much better putting your cash into one of the far better resorts in England.

That's a cute little park if your in the area 😊 that Music Express ride wasn't as fast as its European counterparts, it'll be interesting to see how Sedgwick is running the one in Blackpool 👍

Great video we have a disco ride in the US I haven’t seen one in a long time but they are very nice ride in the show that for sure I made a sign of the ride

Just wanted to say that as a new subscriber for only a few months it's been really good to watch you visit many different fairs and parks, and it's great to see the courage Theo has for going on some of the rides, but the best thing about watching is to see the great father son relationship that you guys have and it makes me think about what relationship and experiences I would have had with my own son who unfortunately passed away a couple of years back after contracting meningitis aged 5, so it evokes fond thoughts of what experiences we might have had, so I wanted to say keep up the excellent vlogs and videos, and hopefully as Theo gets older he won't be to cool to hang with his dad, much love and respect, keep blogging, also congrats to you and Megan on the new arrival!!
Would say it's decent value at £20.0 for wrist bands means you can ride as much as you want all day I suppose

look at the state of this place now!! this look a hell of a lot better back in the earlier 2000’s. it looks shambolic now. couldnt believe they had took the tordnado and tsunami away when i saw this video. what a shame. doesnt even have the ferris wheel anymore, also noticed the magic carpet isnt there either, one of my personal favourites… jesus this place is so badly run down. The kamikaze was also such an awesome ride in the early 2000’s ive never seen that ride ever since.
Cracking vlog as always, the Twist is the old Tir Prince machine and the Pirate Ship is Pleasure Beach and Southport’s old Tidal Wave!
Oh wow... I just watched back my Tir Prince vlog and we actually did it!! It was much faster in Wales. The guys from M&D's emailed me telling me about the boat from Southport so I've done that before too! (Would have been in Blackpool too)

I went to M&D last year and there was not that much there, Also there is a traveling disco ride at Brean Theme Park
I'm pretty sure that Great Yarmouth pleasure beach has a travelling Disko too!

m&ds rides although at static most of the year select ones do travel, the ferris wheel tends to do festivals and big carnivals

Strathy mabdds had a bad rep for safety but good that you survived lol.
The twist is M&D's bought last year or year before when they bought the miami. Taylor's is the surname of the owners at M&D's.
They own a bunch of traveling fun fare’s which is pretty much all this is without the traveling part

Didn't know M+D's was still around. I thought they went into administration. My main criticism of the rides there is that they're all travelling rides.

Question: what is the theme?
I feel it’s far too generous to call this a theme park, it’s a fun fare.
Very sadly neglected without any notable update to when I went all the way back in 2008 (if anything it looks worse).
It’s a shame as it’s a lovely area it’s in and some real investment could bring this up to being at least Blackpool standard (which is an amusement park, not a theme park)
To me, this is an amusement park. It's a bit different with the whole mix of rides that are fixed and travelling. With the whole rollercoaster situation, I don't think they've had the best of years... But they can only go forward
@PTVlogsUK A fun fare doesn't need to be mobile. The owners also have several travelling fares too so I feel that says it all.
I doubt they care enough to put any real investment into this area to get it closer to what i would consider amusement level.
Having recently just visited Blackpool Pleasure Beach, after some time, I don't even think it would be that difficult to achieve a higher standard than that as a lot of it is still very dated despite the area around Icon looking much nicer.
I believe there may be a limit on how high it's possible to build around Staphclyde Park and likely how large they could expand if they wish though I'm certain that far more could be done to make it a park to be proud of.
Place is a tip and should never be classed as a theme park ... Shambles of a place
