  • Join us as we head to Flambards Family Theme Park after its month-long closure. We wanted to get there straight away to document the changes. Four attractions-The Hornet, Sky Swinger, Thunderbolt & Sky Force-have all closed permanently. The Hornet and Sky Force are currently still in situ although closed. Sky Swinger and Thunderbolt have both been removed. Brand new to the park is Flying Planes and a dodgems attraction. It’s all change at Flambards, but it’s 100% still worth paying it a visit, especially for the younger members of your family.

So sad to see we went there in August 2023 for the day. I did here at one point there where talking of selling off that part of the park for houses that might just be press talk again.

Good vlog, Andrew! Sad state of affairs it still looks tired at flambards! It's funny that the "New rides" are fair ground rides and are easily packed up and sold on! Things were a lot different when the Hale family owned it!

Definitely. Everything there feels cheap. But the place generally was looking smarter.

What a sad state this place is in, Such a shame! I loved my visit here a few years ago...

It’s looking fresher than it has for a while. Hopefully some more investment will come. 👍🏻

The Hornet going will be the end of an era, that was the main ride it was known for. Such a shame. I might have to go vlog there soon before it’s gone. We’ll have nothing left here with any thrill rides 😢

Flambards has always had a lot of potential but never had the funding needed to make a truly great place. I worked there as a teenager in the early 2000s and the place has hardly changed at all.

Hi Andrew. Good little video mate. I remember the cannonball run scene very well, classic film 👌 what is actually left to do at flambards now? It don’t look a lot.

For younger kiddos, it’s still really worth going, for sure. It’s lacking now for teenagers, who obviously want more thrills. Fingers crossed Flambards will get continued investment. 👍🏻

I believe the official line from Flambards is that the closed attractions are too old to repair, but I’ve heard rumours that theyve been sold on. Don’t know any more than that. 👍🏻

The rides are probably still there because the sky force and especially the hornet would take some time to remove the rides they may need planning permission too

We kinda thought that off camera. We assume they’ll be removed during the next off season.

Not been there for 26 years, doesn't look as nice as i remember it, might be wrong. Are the Victorian streets etc still there. Does look empty.

Yes. The Victorian Village & Britain in the Blitz, along with the museum section are all still there.

The company that own flambards sold them off the story that the rides have no parts or repair the company who made the rides still make them and they are cheap to buy parts

Where do we start again ? Another balls up from what’s becoming an embarrassing mess we got a full refund on our passes and shall never be returning in the 40 years iv been coming .
Ruining it up basically sold all the major attractions to other parks/ fairs and in return as well as cash have part exchanged for shite dodgers and other ex fair travelling rides . Also they can’t spin the walzers because their insurance didn’t cover it I was told by a staff member 😂 joke
