- In this Vlog we visit Flambards Theme Park in Helston, Cornwall. This attraction also refers to itself as the Flambards Experience. It is not hard to see why, just past the ticket check is the entrance to their incredible Victorian Village. Pictures and video don’t really do the Victorian village attraction justice and the number of sets and the level of detail and authenticity really surprised us. After exploring the Victorian Village, you are led into the “Britain in the Blitz” exhibition, which had the same quality but moved us forward in time to the 1940s. Beyond that they had even more amazing exhibits including a partial Concord plane and an extensive collection of vintage motorcycles.
The indoor attraction was very quiet first thing and this is the time we would recommend visiting unless you are expecting rain at some point.
We headed out and finally got into the core of the theme park. The park has the feel of a fair and many of the rides are the sort of the rides you would find in a fair such as the waltzers and moderate drop tower. However, they also have the Hornet rollercoaster, which, although not very intense was great fun and roomy to ride. They also had a small log flume, which although short, had well maintained water and a great drop and splash at the end.
We were taken by surprise by the sky swinger, it was one of the fastest chair swings we have ever ridden, and the audio made it an extra special experience.
Towards the back of the park, they have Go Kart track for and £5 upcharge (at time of recording). This is quire reasonable and its well worth a go on this exciting attraction.
The park also has an indoor soft play for children under 1.4m which has a café so you can also get some food and drink in there.
Flambards theme park was unlike any park we have been to before and although not the sort of park for thrill seekers to make a dedicated trip, it’s unique offering and charming atmosphere mean we would highly recommend it if holidaying in Cornwall.

been here a few times whenever i've been to cornwall. decent little park and the victorian village is an interesting place to look around, probably the standout of the park as far as attractions
Yeah we totally agree, the Village and indoor attractions really stood out to the point where it almost outshone the rides. However the rides aren't too bad for small park, we were impressed with the sky swinger and the Hornet Rollercoaster was fun to ride. So were the go karts.

They are removing four major rides, including the Hornet rollercoaster. We're really glad we went when we did...
so sad the recent news about flambards maybe they will get some new rides one day
Yes, it is really sad, we feel so lucky we got to ride these rides and get some great footage of them before they are gone for good 😔
