  • What changes should we expect, now that both amusement park chains have merged?

I see Peanuts stuff being allowed to expire. Popularity of Peanuts has cratered in the 21st Century…

i think as far as the IPs go, assuming they all stick around, i think they should do rotating Character at all parks. they could do it like, "come on to Great Escape and meet Snoopy and the gang for the next 2 week" and "come to Cedar Point and meet Justice League for two weeks in june." something like that and keep the rotations going through the year. also if parks have multiple kids areas i could see Looney Tunes or Peanuts moving to new parks to help refresh a kids area. i don't see DC moving around that much other then Character visits or maybe variations of the Justice League Dark Rides.

If Cedar Point rethemes Planet Snoopy to Looney Tunes, that would actually bring those rides back to their former glory. They originally operated at Geauga Lake and were apart of the Looney Tunes area and were brought over to Cedar Point after the park’s closure. Also, they need to rename Dominator at Kings Dominion to Batman Knight Flight. I would cry.

Regarding the Intellectual Property (Peanuts/Looney Tunes), since the merged company is retaining the legacy branding of the former two companies, it's certainly possible that they just might maintain those IP's at each of the former company legacy parks. But, I fully agree, there are so many possibilities for both positive and negative changes as a result of the merger. I'd like to see a major effort to return to a much more balances park experience. That is, sell the complete package of rides, shows, and attractions at each park, and a pleasant experience for everyone, not simply rollercoaster enthusiasts.

Probably a good thing. It seems like they're taking the Six Flags branding and attaching it to Cedar Fair's management. I think most overzealous enthusiasts overreact and have little to zero actual knowledge on the subject of corporate mergers.
