    How would you modify the ER PROM stabilization position for a female, without sacrificing too much stabilization?

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  Před 6 lety +3

      We know that this may be difficult to perform on a female patient but what you could do is place a cushion between your arm and the patients chest

    Extension PROM 60 degree? Is the norm a bit too high?
    Although the degree of shoulder extension is less addressed in literature. According to “Chang LR, Anand P, Varacallo M. Anatomy, Shoulder and Upper Limb, Glenohumeral Joint. [Updated 2023 Aug 8]. In: StatPearls [Internet].“ Extension is defined as bringing the upper limb posterior in a sagittal plane and the normal range of motion is 45 to 60 degrees.
    Also in the video, the model’s range of extension looks like about 40-45 degree. I suppose that the lower limit of normal range of extension should be no more than 45 degree. Is it reasonable?

    I'm sure the patient has not undergone any shoulder Surgery because you cannot move your hand so easily over head. I had recently got my surgery for the slap tear and bankart repair it took me almost 5 weeks to achieve 150° overhead and 10° external rotation with the help of physiotherapy
    I just want to know how easily you can move the patient hand overhead and abduction please tell me as I mentioned I have undergone the surgery and I just want to know

    Do we not do PROM of adduction in neutral?

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  Před 4 lety +1

      Never limited in the zero position, but rather in 90 degrees of flexion like in the stenvers tests or ac joint tests
