Great interview Robert. It is so true that the ego doesn't need to be dissolved or beaten up. If you are not the doer, who cares what the ego is thinking? The story is there, the ego is there, but you are the aliveness behind it all. The mind or ego doesn't need to understand it to be alive. So just be.
For the first time in 50 years, I'm able to read a book, watch a movie, etc., without "my story" / the madness in my head ruining everything...
So great, Danny's smile when Robert says "You're either awake in this moment or you fucking aren't!"... (16.40)
Thank you so much, it's just beautiful. The burdened life becomes easy and joyful when the understanding takes place that everything is a happening that is beyond anyone's control. One gets free of guilt, blame, pride, attachment to outcomes.
:)
:)
That was just great - thank you so much Robert
When you speak about the "hypnotized masses" in the grocery store, and the few who seem to see through it, it reminds me of the guy in the movie THEY LIVE, who puts on the special sunglasses and sees reality as it is...
I haven't seen that one, John. But, yeah, at times it's almost scary to walk around in a room full of sleepwalking human animals.
@@RobertSaltzman It's a great old sci-fi horror film. A lot of substance in it, in spite of the usual cheeeze...
Thank you this help me so much ,
Thank you Robert . Your message is having a deep impact and although I'm only halfway through your book I recommend it. I've read so many different books in the past few years but your approach cuts through them all.
Thank you, Aaron. I am happy to hear that. I wish you well.
Robert could easily have been Gandalf..
Question: If I’m not the doer & nothing is in my control, thoughts & feelings just appear then what made me read 4t & why did it realign my attitudes. In particular giving up the fruitless seeking for answers to unsolvable questions. What changed in me? Is it the unconscious that cogitates then presents me this new mode of being into my consciousness?
Who knows? The next person hears about 4T but never quite gets around to reading it. Questions like this have no straight answers, as I see it.
All Enlightened ones are out of body minus Ego
