This is a bloke that kept picking David Button in goal. He also didn't know we were allowed 5 subs this season......such a lack of attention to detail, yet he bemoans the fact he wasn't given time?! He might be a nice guy, but some of his decisions on the pitch were a joke.

  • @sheepmanification

An unmitigated disaster at Newcastle, Almiron, Joelinton and many others seemed poor players under him yet when given decent coaching and a modern training regime prove now to be top class. His training consisted of long runs most days even with players who had partial muscle injuries. An archaic over paid dinosaur in his and his coaches methods. WBA decent before he took over and great when he left, Newcastle much better organised, his media mates defended him to the hilt when he was obviously costing each team he managed points, where are they now! He stated just the other day that he recommended Eddie Howe to the new owners, it has been stated categorically that they had been looking at Howe for a while and there was no input from the then manager. I mean the man lives in a fantasy world and the media lap it up. Some poor supporters will have to suffer him again, good luck with that!

Success at Wigan, Hull, Birmingham City. Failed at Villa, Newcastle, WBA. He works well with small clubs with no expectations. Who's fans will put up with his turgid brand of football. But with the bigger clubs, he fails because he can't handle the said clubs or their fans' expectations. It usually results with him turning on the fans, and it becomes very toxic as a result. But it was obvious they were not at the fine margin because the missing ingredient was something, be it fitness or getting a bollocking, or being a bit firmer with them. CC has given them the missing ingredient, you had the time. I worked in Newcastle for 3 months from July to October and all i did was defend SB saying well we are playing well but its just not happening, but SB must of done something right to have these 2 squads he has left have only lose 1 game between them and gone onto great runs, he must if left something good there to work with.
