Beterbiev not only has tremendous punching power, but he is physically very strong. He absolutely bullies people in the clinch and that can really exhaust someone over the course of a fight.
He's got freakish strength in the clinch. I've never seen someone just pull apart someone's arms to get off such hard shots so close to their bodies.
He is also a very well rounded freestyle wrestler....but after few fights on the mat dude got kicked out the gym 😅
Look his training workout....never seen some of his workout techniques before....really crazy....
Would be cool to see him fight mma
@@PeterParker-ff3mz Terrence Crawford has a wrestling background as well - it definitely helps in boxing, with the grappling, creating the right range for their shots, & the way they body up close to their opponent when they feel they're out of position etc...
@@YouAintGotNoTegridyBoi What's worse for his opponents, sticking moving doesn't work against him either - at least it didn't work for Gvozdyk & Browne - maybe Bivol would make a tougher match for Beterbiev, but it doesn't look like that fight will happen any time soon...
Being from Montréal, I watched all Beterbiev’s fights and I’m a huge fan. He is always better every time, very humble, intelligent, devoted to his sport like you rarely see, fast and powerful. I didn’t know Callum Johnson before but I have a lot of respect for him, he looks like a great person and I wish he can be a world champion some day. Thanks for uploading this video, I was happy to watch it again.

Daniel Moore I think it could have even been a case that Johnson was still recovering from his knockdown prior to that, or perhaps he thought he’d get Beterviev out of there in the next round. But I agree it was strange he didn’t force the stoppage considering his fast start in round one, it’s not like he wanted it to go the distance
yea he should have been more active but i like the fact that he was poised and patient in his process looking for the shots that count .. because if you rush Beterbiev after a knock down and dont manage to knock him out gassing yourself out will leave you in a pretty shitty situation to deal with in the later rounds .. and Beterbiev is honestly dangerous even after a knock down ..

This is my forth fight with Beterbeiv. and I have to say...DAMN...This is a destroyer! His power is overshadowing is extreme boxing skills. He's knocking people out so fast, you can't appreciate his natural ability. So far, I see the only real fight for him is Canelo Alvarez. Now I'll pay for that too.

@ Renard Henry. I believe PEDnelo will not go toe to toe with Beterbiev. Beterbiev is way stronger than Canelo and Canelo knee is getting shot. Over 90% thought ggg won clearly but of course it was a draw? 😆 Clenero has been fighting paper champions and I believe they're were fixed. Especially the Kovalev fight. The " face of boxing" won't lose w the judges on his side plus the blind refs. Canelo says he's fight anybody. Than why doesn't he pick the top fighters instead of paper champions which mean pretty much nothing.

@@RoganConfidential Maybe controversial, but as they say, styles make fights and Bivol is ALL WRONG for Canelo. I actually think Beterbiev and Canelo are tailor made for one another. A brutal knockout artist against a guy with a titanium chin. Say what you will about Canelo, but the dude has eaten some of the best punches like they were nothing. He MIGHT have a chance to force Artur into a point win. It would be a fantastic war, whatever the outcome.

Thinking the same thing ... dude has some serious power and this is the only fight I've seen where Beterbiev showed any fatigue as the fight progressed. Massive respect for Johnson.

Callum Johnson is a beast, but Beterbiev is an even beastlier beast with serious amateur pedigree, man was taking out current top heavyweight contenders like Michael Hunter back in the amateurs, he could actually do serious damage at heavyweight now if he ever felt like going up, don't let the size fool you.
Beterbiev pulled punch at 5:29 which is an honourable act as a sportsman, as he was perfectly entitled to throw his powerful left given no interference and instruction by the referee.

@@Arangggg Beterbiev's rabbit punch is wholly unintended, but accidental. Unfortunate timing of the opponent's ducking when Beterbiev throws his hook. Nonetheless, he needs to be more careful about this, as we see this quite often.
@@Arangggg if the boxer turns his head so that the back is the only thing showing, it’s also against the rules... However it’s normally meant for when someone is ducking really low where there head is near their waste. Rigo is an example of boxer that does this a lot.

Hit him and then changed his mind once he dropped johnson and that punch changed the fight
The ref didn't say break, he said no and it was clear why he said no -- because Johnson's head was through the ropes. Beterbiev obeyed the instruction and held the punch until his head came bacl into the ring. Then it was open season. Protect yourself at all times.
Alvarez better stay away from Beterbiev, he can box has brutal power and never stops punching, great stamina. He will hurt Alvarez and stop him for the first time.
Canelo also has brutal power and is a much better boxer with much better defence, and a chin that’s 10x as strong as beterbievs

Beterbiev is such a well-rounded boxer, he moves smooth like a cat in one instant, and in the next those thudding punches crumble the opponent like a dry piece of bread. What a pleasure to take part in his career.
This guy Artur Beterbiev is sooo underrated. A P4P king who's ducked. Respect to Johnson for making a fight out of it...Artur smashed to bits another fantastic fighter in Gvozdyk to unify. Canelo should stay very very far from Artur, he won't be able to last long enough to win on points against this monster.
Artur Beterbiev is not underrated, he is clearly a great boxer and a lot of other fighters recognise his talent hence why they duck him. Unfortunately, he is with top rank who are shit promoters. He needs to go with Matchroom boxing so they can promote his name. He deserves it.
Atif Ramzan Matchroom has failed with Bivol, Andrade, Saunders, GGG... I don’t see what they could do with a more difficult Artur? He’s a quiet humble guy from a Chechen descent...he’s always gonna struggle to be a big name. Arturs best bet is to be around his friend Khabib if he wants to tap into the Muslim casual market and self promote but he doesn’t care about fame...just legacy. Hence he’ll remain underrated
@@JohnDoe-bj3tj I think another issue is that there is not enough hype within the light heavyweight division. If Canelo had stayed within the division then a lot more casual fans out there will see its potential.
Atif Ramzan yeah true... a shame becoz light heavy is filled with real killers and is by far the most stacked division.... beterbiev, bivol, gvozdyk, alvarez, browne, yarde, even canelo, etc but there’s no superstars there, just pure fighters for the hardcore fans
Canelo is far more beter technicaly, fast, veeery strong too, with granit chin. I don't see any solid reason to think Beterbiev would surely beat him. More, I think the most likely to win is Canelo.

Beterbiev letting himself get cornered is quite a clever ploy. Johnson couldn't win the inside exchanges and he falls right where Artur wants him to; in the pocket and getting hit in every angle possible with short shots.

This fight shows that both fighters have tremendous heart. They both threw bombs at one another. I think Artur is the slicker fighter though. He has fantastic fundamentals and ring IQ. He’s also a freaking beast! Respect to Johnson especially how he fought Beterbiev’s fight. I haven’t seen any other guy attempt to slug it out with the heaviest hands in boxing. I can’t wait for Dmitry Bivol and Beterbiev’s fight.

Johnson is fighting Mikhalkin for the European title and Mikhalkin is no joke, really slick southpaw with a good chin and decent power. Think he was interim IBO champ too so Johnson could fight Boesel next who's also a good contender. He's in line to be top 10 at 175.
