Was looking at the stats of the 3 championship that Oscar has won compared to Russel 3rd, 1st,1st Leclerc 4th,1st,1st and Piastri 1st 1st and 1st
He will probably replace alonso in 2023. Don’t worry though, hopefully el plan will stay as alonso becomes alpines driver coach.

This guy has some scary potential. Doesn't seem to flinch at all when he's getting pressured or squeezed in wheel to wheel racing.

@@alexadarraga1764 Is Ocon basically at his level? Alonso struggled badly with the first 5 races, but since Baku, he's been head and shoulders clear of Ocon. He scored points in 13 out of the last 17 races, and the ones he didn't score in were Spa (not even a race), Turkey (started 5th before getting taken out at T1), Austin (Started at the back and was set for a points finish before DNF) and Saudi where he was genuinely just slow. Excluding the first 5 races, Ocon was realistically only "quicker" than Alonso in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi (not counting Hungary because that was all luck).

Esteban will never drive for Merc. They only sign top talent. Ocon is only average.
He drove really strongly and would have deserved a seat in F1. But you should also note that he comes from the Alpine Academy and Ocon and Alonso had a solid season this year, so there is no reason to replace either of them
